Stayed at an old-fashioned property - enjoyable experience. Friendly staff, especially towards our granddaughter. Comfortable and clean bedrooms. Spacious market room with a nice view. My room had air conditioning, which was much appreciated as the temperature was high. Lovely bathroom with a shower cubicle. Fans provided. Comfy beds. Laura and John, the staff, were hospitable and kind to my parents, who had a nostalgic connection to the place. Outdoor area with tables and chairs was great for people-watching and mingling with the locals. Fantastic Indian restaurant on-site. Good breakfast served in the hotel. Air conditioning in the pub and restaurant.

I stayed at the Red Lion for a couple of nights and had a great experience. The location was perfect for me, right in the middle of town. The room was well-equipped with all the amenities I needed and the staff were incredibly friendly. The pub attached to the hotel had a great selection of beers and the restaurant served a delicious breakfast. The best part was the comfortable bed - I had an excellent night's sleep. a fantastic stay and I would definitely choose to stay at the Red Lion again if I'm in the area.

The restaurant only serves Indian food, so if you're looking for a different cuisine, you might need to dine elsewhere.

This hotel is superb! the location is perfect as it is right in the heart of town, with everything you need just a stone's throw away. Secondly, the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Lastly, the rooms are clean and equipped with all the necessary facilities, including a private balcony where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. And did I mention the breakfast? Absolutely delicious! I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We enjoyed a lovely river walk with our dog, as this hotel is pet-friendly. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a modern revamp, and the hotel facilities were excellent. The breakfast had a good choice of food, and the hotel also had parking available.
