The location was really decent, about a 10-minute walk to the train station and a 45-minute journey to London. It was nice to come back to a quieter area after the hustle and bustle of the city. The oak suite I stayed in was lovely, with a comfy bed and a great shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food at the pub was delicious. The continental breakfast had a decent variety of choices, and the coffee was excellent. I felt at home at the Royal Oak and would highly recommend it to others.

The only drawback was the noise from the pub below, especially if you have a room located above it. However, if you request a room at the back, it should be quieter.

Decent breakfast and helpful staff. Beds were extremely comfortable and the room was clean. the hotel had a fantastic location with much to see and do within a short walk. Worth noting, free on-site parking was available as well.

Not worth the price paid. the room lacked air conditioning making it uncomfortable on warm days and we had to deal with an issue regarding payment.
