During our stay, we had a lunchtime snack at the hotel. The food was absolutely terrible. The cheese and tomato sandwich came with only cheese and no butter. When we asked for tomato, we were brought some decaying tomato in a dirty bowl. The cucumber on the side salad was also very sloppy and fermenting. The chips served with the sandwich were tepid, and we couldn't even tell if they were meant to be served hot or cold. The waiter didn't bother to check if everything was okay, which seemed like he already knew the answer.

Had a cozy Christmas break with the family at a dog-friendly hotel near shops and eateries. Room was lovely, furnished with plush bathrobes, and we loved using the provided binoculars to enjoy the fantastic sea view. Breakfast offered a good selection and the little extras like tea, coffee, and bottled water were much appreciated.

Service was poor with long wait times and disorganised staff at the bar/restaurant. Room cleanliness was a let-down, with a smelly fleece throw and mouldy shower door strip.

The room was clean and tidy, with fresh bed linen and towels. The shower had good water pressure and the bathroom was well-maintained. Just one minor drawback was that the lock on the door wasn't very secure. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and comfortable accommodations.

The Wash & Tope is a comfortable pub located right in front of the beach, making it a perfect location for tourists. The rooms are big and clean, with comfortable bedding and towels. The staff is lovely and friendly, providing excellent service. You can enjoy a tasty breakfast, or opt for scrambled eggs on toast, which is worth the extra cost. The view from the rooms is great, allowing you to take in the beautiful surroundings. The pub also offers helpful information about the only taxi available in the orange bays in the South End car park on a Saturday night.

The tables in the bar could use better cleaning, as glasses tend to stick to them, causing annoyance.

Array of tea, coffee, and herbal teas provided, along with a coffee maker. Comfortable bed. Plentiful breakfast with helpful waitresses. Perfect location for an overnight stay. Excellent staff in the sports bar area, with quick and tasty food. Good portions and menu selection. Family-friendly atmosphere. Special accommodations made for visiting parents. Lovely high-quality food. High decor in the pub. Would definitely revisit.

Recently stayed at The Wash & Tope for a few nights. The location was great, with a good sea view and easy access to a public car park. The room exceeded expectations, it was well decorated, spacious, and had a large window facing the sea. The shower room was also a good size. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and explaining everything upon arrival. a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The location of the hotel couldn't be more convenient, right in the heart of town. Our room had a great view of the coastline and the municipal car park, which was surprisingly not noisy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service. The breakfast was delicious and brought to our room, which was a nice touch. The hotel was situated very close to the sea with beautiful views. the beds were very comfortable which was a definite plus for a good night's sleep. the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast room was cold and the food was basic and disappointing. there were issues with some of the facilities, such as the bathrooms being tired and in need of refurbishment.
