The New Year's experience at the hotel was overall enjoyable. the hotel offered a variety of amenities and facilities that added to the stay. the location was perfect, situated in the heart of the town, allowing easy access to shops, the park, and the picturesque River Test. the breakfast served at the hotel was of high quality, with delicious sausages and great coffee. the staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming throughout the stay.

There were some negative aspects during the stay. the room could have been better in terms of quilt thickness, as it was a bit too thick for the time of year.

The refurbished hotel has character, with great inside and outside spaces, especially the lounge. Upgraded to a large, luxurious room with a bath. Delicious food with a good selection. Ideal location for exploring. Plenty of parking options.
