The White Lion Inn Hampton in Arden is a hidden gem! the location is perfect. It's conveniently close to the airport and just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to explore the area. The hotel itself is full of charm and character, with creaky rooms and low ceilings that add to the overall ambiance. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive, ensuring that nothing is too much trouble. The attention to detail is evident, from the clean and tidy rooms to the basic amenities provided. We particularly appreciated the two fans operating in both the bathroom and bedroom, ensuring a comfortable stay even during the hot weather. Lastly, the breakfast spread was delicious, with a great selection of food and no shortage of options, except for the black pudding.

We brought our dog along and were given a spacious room. the decor was lovely and the beds were comfy. the restaurant had a great menu and the food was delicious, especially the steak. the staff were apologetic about the slight wait, but we didn't mind at all. the breakfast was also a highlight, with freshly cooked dishes made to order. A great place to stay for a city break.

The room we stayed in was smaller than expected and the pictures on the website were misleading. the WiFi signal in the room was weak and the TV was very small.
