A couple of positives during our Christmas stay at the hotel. the recently redecorated room was very stylish and clean, which made for a comfortable stay. the breakfast provided was superb, with a generous spread that left us stuffed every morning. the location was great for exploring the nearby town and attractions, such as the Watt Gallery and Chapel.

The rooms were a bit on the small side, especially the shower room, leaving very little space to move around. Lastly, the dining menu was quite old-fashioned and the portions were too large for our liking.

I also enjoyed the variety of food options available, that catered to everyone's taste.

the crockery could have been updated, and other details like cobwebs in the windows and chips in plates and cups could have been rectified.

My recent stay at The Withies Inn was delightful. The location is serene and picturesque, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The pub itself exudes a warm and authentic English pub atmosphere, with cozy fireside seating and delicious food and drink. The rooms are tastefully decorated, with plush bedding and towels, ensuring a comfortable stay. The attention to detail, from the layout of the room to the thoughtful lighting, was much appreciated. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service. I had a wonderful experience at The Withies Inn and would highly recommend it.

Although my stay was generally pleasant, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the room I stayed in was on the smaller side, which was fine for a short stay but might be a bit cramped for a longer visit.

The 16th-century pub is beautiful and in a perfect, tranquil location. Gail took care of us during breakfast and was a kind and helpful lady. The staff, including Frank, Ivana, and Alexa, were exceptional and went out of their way to assist us. The rooms are updated and comfortable, while the restaurant and bar exude an authentic and historic atmosphere. The food was fantastic, and the Dover Sole was one of the best my husband has ever had. We will definitely stay, eat, and drink at this great place again.

The well-kept gardens added to the picturesque charm of the Withies Inn. Despite a couple of small drawbacks, such as the lack of blind on the window and a small ensuite in one of the rooms, our overall experience was excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel for its lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food.

This hotel provided us with an experience beyond luxurious. the exclusive amenities within the room were impressive, with a well-stocked minibar and plush bedding. the Garden area was a tranquil oasis, perfect for enjoying a book or a drink. the staff went above and beyond, ensuring all our needs were met with exceptional service. the Restaurant had a diverse menu with plenty of specialty options, including a fantastic range of special diet menus to cater for differing needs. the Outdoor dining area was stunning, allowing us to enjoy our meals surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens.

There was some noise from the air conditioner in the room, which was slightly disruptive.

The history and ambiance of the inn made for an unforgettable experience. Despite some minor inconveniences, such as the lack of satellite TV and background music in the restaurant, I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel.
