The location of the hotel is ideal, just a few minutes walk from the beach and town facilities. It is also close to old Shanklin village, where you can find excellent restaurants for dining. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-decorated with comfortable beds. The breakfast served is delicious and cooked to perfection. the hosts are warm and welcoming, providing helpful information about local attractions and restaurants.

One negative aspect is the limited parking spaces, which can be filled up quickly.

We spent our Christmas holiday at a B&B in Shanklin and loved our experience. The location was perfect as we were just a few minutes' walk away from the seafront with plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars around. The hosts were very welcoming, and their knowledge of the area made it easy for us to plan our stay. We got recommendations for some really interesting attractions and got to see and learn so much. The breakfast was cooked to perfection with a great selection of cooked and continental choices.

We would have preferred if the property had more festive decorations during our stay. The Internet was quite patchy, but this didn't really matter as we were out most of the time exploring the town and other areas.

The room amenities, including ironing facilities, heating, and tea and coffee facilities, made our stay even more comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting in the terrace area and garden furniture provided. The free toiletries, electric kettle, and television in the room were nice touches, and the flat-screen TV and carpeted floor added a touch of elegance. The staff were absolutely stunning and super friendly. They were personable, patient, professional, and generous hosts. We also made use of the leisure sun terrace and garden area, as well as the leisure/tv room with free Wi-Fi. The off-site car park and luggage storage were convenient amenities. The hotel also had a golf course and board games available, which added to the fun. We were impressed with the wheelchair access, as we had a family member with mobility needs. The fact that pets were allowed was also a bonus, as it made our stay even more enjoyable. this place exceeded all our expectations and provided a luxurious and comfortable experience.

I had such a delightful stay at a charming little gem of a hotel called Westbury Lodge. As soon as I arrived, the owners, Kath and Dave, warmly welcomed me and took the time to sit down and discuss all the attractions and things to see in the area. They even showed me where to have breakfast, which was a nice touch. My room was spacious and had a modern bathroom, complete with all the amenities I needed. The breakfast the next morning was extensive, with a variety of options including a full English or eggs benedict. There were also several cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, and toast with different preserves. The owners made sure to cater to everyone's preferences. I loved that there was a conservatory and a lounge available for guests to relax in. Although they didn't have an alcohol license, they were more than happy to provide glasses for guests to bring their own drinks. Kath and Dave were friendly and chatty when I wanted to chat, making my stay even more enjoyable. The location of the hotel was also fantastic, with easy access to the beach, town center, and attractions. Parking could be a bit of a challenge, especially when the hotel was full, but I always managed to find a spot in a nearby side street. I highly recommend Westbury Lodge for a wonderful and comfortable stay on the Isle of Wight.
