I recently stayed at a charming motel in Longhope called Yew Tree. The moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by a friendly Welsh lady who not only checked me in but also assisted me with my luggage. The room, though small and simple, was all I needed for my weekend stay. It was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

While there were some minor drawbacks, such as the inconvenience of the stones on the walkway for wheeled suitcases, overall, the friendly and welcoming staff, along with the reasonably priced rooms, made my stay at Yew Tree a memorable one. I would gladly recommend this motel to anyone seeking a pleasant stay in Longhope.

I had a fantastic stay at Yew Tree At Longhope Motel. The room was clean and warm, and the hosts, Karen and Pete, were very friendly and welcoming. They even left us everything we needed for a nice cup of tea when we arrived late. The cooked breakfast was delicious, and the 32oz steak cooked by Pete was incredible. The staff were polite and the showers were great. it was a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. I can't wait to book again in the future.

The rooms at this hotel were clean, bright, and well-equipped. The modern shower room had fluffy fresh towels and toiletries provided, adding a touch of luxury to our stay. We also appreciated the attention to detail, with amenities like a built-in wardrobe and the provision of tea and coffee-making facilities in the room. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby Forest of Dean, offering plenty of opportunities for walking and exploring nature.

Lovely place to stay, great value for money. Friendly staff and good food. the rooms were clean and well decorated. the shower was brilliant. the location was close to the Forest of Dean, which was convenient. the play area for children was a nice touch. the car park had ample spaces and there was a lovely beer garden. Despite being next to a main road, there was no traffic noise. a wonderful experience.

Breakfast was not available before 07:30, which was inconvenient for guests who needed to be in Gloucester early. No alternative or reduction was offered.

Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that all of our needs were met during our stay. Lastly, the breakfast was simply outstanding. With a variety of options to choose from and freshly ground coffee, it was the perfect start to the day.

We had a wonderful stay at The Yew Tree. The room was bright, spacious, and kept at a nice cool temperature. The evening meal offered excellent value, although the portions were a tad too generous. Parking was easy and the location was convenient. The current owners, though new, ran the place with such expertise and made us feel like long-time guests. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the option to park our motorcycles behind locked gates was a bonus. The restaurant served top-notch food, particularly their gammon steaks made with fresh local ingredients.
