We stayed at Yha Buttermere for a few nights to explore the beautiful lakes and mountains nearby. The staff were friendly and the bunk beds surprisingly comfortable. The breakfast, while not extravagant, was tasty and well prepared. The location is perfect, close to two stunning lakes and just a short drive away from the starting point of Scafell Pike. Being so remote, there was minimal mobile network coverage, which was actually quite nice as it allowed us to truly disconnect and enjoy our holiday. a great value for money experience.

They even made me soup and provided a list of garages to help me out. The location itself is excellent if you enjoy being in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by stunning landscapes and peaceful silence. The accommodation had everything I needed, with comfortable beds and hot showers. Parking was convenient, and the staff allowed me to leave my car before check-in and after check-out. a wonderful stay with friendly staff and gorgeous views.

I stayed at Yha Buttermere as a stopover after hiking up Scafell Pike. The location was perfect, nestled in the beautiful Lake District. The friendly receptionist checked me in quickly, and my spacious and clean room had a comfortable bottom bunk. The shower room and toilets were conveniently located just across the landing. The self-catered kitchen was well-equipped, and I enjoyed making a cuppa while admiring the view. The hostel's proximity to two lovely inns made dining options easy. The staff were helpful and even boiled a kettle for me in the morning. The location was ideal for exploring the Lakes and there was even a bus stop outside.

The noise from other guests could be quite loud, particularly from adjacent rooms and the shower facilities. it was a good budget option for a city break, but some improvements could be made.
