A hidden gem with easy access to fun attractions

This hotel has a great spot just minutes from the airport and within walking distance to several dining options like Hooters and Kem's Restaurant, plus fun activities like the Gulf Islands Waterpark less than 3 km away, making it perfect for weekend explorers like me who love to stroll around and discover new places; the pool area is nicely arranged and creates a private feel, but the carpet in the room could use a little updating.

Exceptional staff, exceptional breakfast with a welcoming hostess who made everyone feel like long-lost friends and a fantastic variety of delicious options available each morning.

For us it was ideal.

I enjoy the roomy area for my therapy dog. The staff is super friendly and they even have a dog poop station! Breakfast is included, and those pancake makers are a nice touch.

However, the room had straight hair on the carpet, which is a bit gross.

The courtyard is beautiful and well-maintained.

The room was clean and had everything we needed for a cozy stay. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home, especially the breakfast lady who treated us like family.

It wasn't the most affordable option, but it was still worth it.

The room’s cleanliness was disappointing, with dirty floors that left our feet black after a shower. The bed felt sunken, and the pillows had a musty odor. The air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool, and noise from nearby planes was disruptive. The bathroom had hair upon arrival and hadn’t been properly cleaned. While the location is convenient, the comfort of the room severely impacted our stay. Staff interactions varied; some were helpful, while others appeared dismissive. the lack of maintenance and attention to cleanliness overshadowed the positive aspects of the visit.

Check-in was a breeze and the staff was super friendly! The breakfast spread was impressive and oh so delicious. I loved lounging by the beautiful pool surrounded by serene gardens.

I had to bring my supplies to scrub it myself. The pool area was crowded at times, impacting our relaxation. We encountered non-guests using the pool, which detracted from our stay. The noise from renovations was disruptive, especially with saws buzzing until dark. Lastly, we were charged for a pool view room yet faced the elevator. A bit of transparency goes a long way.

Comfortable stay with excellent breakfast

The air conditioning in our room kept us cool despite the drive-up motel layout. Staff was friendly and responsive, and the breakfast had a wide variety, including delicious eggs and an automatic pancake maker.

I felt completely uninformed about hotel policies, and when I raised concerns about my room, they offered no real solutions, just empty apologies. Totally frustrating experience!

I did notice that the air conditioning was not as effective as I would have liked, making the room feel a bit stuffy at times. On the bright side, the heating worked well to keep us warm during the cooler evenings. I appreciated having tea and coffee facilities in the room, as it was nice to have a hot beverage readily available. The garden furniture outside was a nice touch for enjoying the fresh air, although it could have been more comfortable. The free toiletries provided in the bathroom were a nice touch, but I did notice a lack of amenities such as an AM/FM alarm clock or a flat-screen TV. The carpeted floor in the room could have been cleaner, as there was a mildew/mold smell lingering. Housekeeping did a decent job of keeping the room tidy, but I did notice some areas that could have used more thorough cleaning, especially in the bathroom. Laundry facilities would have been a great addition for longer stays. The Best Western had its pros and cons when it came to room amenities and cleanliness.

It was just a well-suited match for a short layover in Gulfport with reasonable value. The staff was amazing.

The breakfast was a highlight—hot buffet with solid options and a friendly staff. Unfortunately, the room had maintenance issues; first, a leaking toilet, then mold on the ceiling in the second room. I spotted roaches and was disappointed the hot tub wasn’t functioning. The pool area looked appealing, but the noise from partying nearby disrupted the peace. Parking was tricky to find in the rain. While I appreciated the amenities, the upkeep needs serious attention for a more satisfying stay. I might consider trying again, but some improvements are essential.
