the so-called ‘invisible service’ is just a nice way to say no service at all. making my own bed for over $700 is apparently their idea of luxury. i expected at least some decent breakfast but instead got a frozen croissant. also, no one greeted me with a simple ‘welcome back’ that i woudl ve appreciated.

borrego valley inn has stunning mountain views and beautifully kept grounds. my superior queen room was spacious and spotlessly clean. i loved the private outdoor seating area, and the adults-only vibe was perfect for relaxation. the room service breakfast in a basket was delicious, too!

The rooms were well-appointed, and I particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed and the nice private patio. The pool area was perfect for a late-night swim and stargazing, which I appreciated after a long day outside. I did have some issues with the Wi-Fi and the breakfast arrangement, but overall, it was a relaxing stay while exploring the nearby desert park. I would definitely return for another trip.

My recent stay at Borrego Valley Inn was wonderful! The spacious and clean room had a comfortable king bed, a lovely gas fireplace, and a private patio. The well-maintained pool area was perfect for stargazing, and the staff were attentive, providing a delightful breakfast of juice and yogurt in the fridge. The natural beauty surrounding the Inn added to the serenity of my getaway.

Staying here with my family was a delight. The cozy rooms had their own private patios, perfect for stargazing, and the small pool area was beautifully landscaped, making it a great spot for relaxation. We loved meeting other guests who were enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

For dads, it would be great if there were more activities for kids.

Not what you'd expect, but still manageable

Staff was quick to handle requests when we needed something,, and they even refunded part of our trip because we left early. The pools were clean, and watching the road runner and desert squirrel outside the room was a uniquely entertaining surprise.

It wasn’t cheap, yet the experience feels underwhelming for the price you pay.
