The location was excellent, with easy access to hiking trails and other outdoor activities. the hostel had a fun and relaxed atmosphere, making it easy to meet new people and socialize. the courtyard with food trucks was a great place to hang out and grab a bite to eat. Additionally, the option to rent non-motorized scooters for a small fee was a fun and affordable way to explore the area.

The cleanliness of the common areas, such as the kitchen and bathrooms, could have been better. the limited number of bathrooms may pose an inconvenience, particularly for those in a rush.

We loved the easy access to the hostel, with plenty of parking available right next to the house. The outdoor space was a nice bonus, and we enjoyed the proximity to breweries within walking distance. The bathroom was clean and the room was quiet, ensuring a comfortable stay. The breakfast, although self-made, offered a decent selection of food supplies. Additionally, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant, with the added perk of a free beer upon arrival.

I had a fantastic time at Bunk & Brew! My stay was for three nights and I came to Bend for a Grateful Dead tribute band and karaoke night in the hostel's backyard. The casual and community-driven atmosphere was refreshing, and I enjoyed the live events like karaoke and music performances. The location was also perfect, with a quick walk to downtown. The amenities like food trucks, beer purveyor, and small book exchange were a nice touch, and the staff was friendly and gave us a great tour. it was the best stay I've had between here and Texas.

The early morning construction noise from the laborer installing the new sidewalk was quite disruptive. the lack of response from the desk before 8 am made it difficult to address the issue.

What a great hostel! Perfect location in downtown Bend and so clean and welcoming! Beds were insanely comfortable, kitchen was huge and clean, and the courtyard was a delight! Matt let us borrow his scooters for a small fee to zip around town on. Bunk & Brew was a life saver from a camping trip gone south when we needed a warm comfortable place to stay! Thank you!!!!

We had a great stay at Bunk & Brew Historic Lucas House. The location was excellent, allowing us to easily walk to the central downtown area. The building, although old, was nicely decorated and had good facilities. As a solo traveler, I really enjoyed the friendly staff and the opportunity to meet other people in the bunk beds. One of the highlights was the backyard with food and beer carts, including a free beer. The self-served breakfast with clearly labeled ingredients was a nice touch. The added bonus of free parking at the back was also appreciated. I highly recommend this place for a fun and relaxed stay.
