I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. There were also plenty of activities available to keep busy during my stay. The location in the old pub downstairs was a unique and enjoyable feature. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring I had a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

During our recent stay at Captain Whidbey, we were captivated by the peaceful ambiance and stunning natural surroundings. The vintage lodge, constructed from local Madrona logs, exuded charm and character. We enjoyed the cozy sitting area with its big old fireplaces, creating a nostalgic and inviting atmosphere. The location on Penn Cove beach provided a lovely backdrop for relaxation and tranquility. Watching the sunset from the dock while sipping wine was a highlight of our visit. The service and amenities were wonderful, and we felt safe and well taken care of. The inn provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, without the need for extraneous amenities. The absence of TVs in the rooms allowed us to truly disconnect and appreciate the serenity of the environment.

The location, history, and grounds are amazing. Impeccable hotel with cozy rooms and intentional design. Convenient onsite restaurant with excellent options. Lovely rooms, very clean and well-maintained. Comfy beds, fabulous patio, great drinks and food. Spacious grounds perfect for evening gatherings. Well-appointed shared bathrooms. Delicious coffee and breakfast cafe.

We had a fantastic romantic escape at this hotel! The remote location was perfect, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. We loved being right on the dock, with the opportunity to fish at our doorstep. The view of the cove during breakfast was breathtaking. Plus, the staff was incredibly warm and hospitable, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

The walls in the hotel were incredibly thin, and we could hear everything happening in the adjacent rooms. This made it difficult to get a good night's sleep, as we were disturbed by the noise from our neighbors.

The historic charm and beautiful grounds made for a delightful stay. Although our room was on the spartan side, the local breakfast board was outstanding. The staff was helpful with directions to our building and parking. Overall I recommend this cozy retreat in the woods.

Poor Service: the staff appeared to be understaffed and unenthusiastic. We received minimal interaction from the person at the check-in desk, and the service throughout our stay was slow and inattentive.

The appetizers, drinks, and dinner at the inn's restaurant were all exceptional, and the friendly staff made the experience even better.
