We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location couldn't have been better - right across the street from the Capitol and within walking distance to many restaurants, including the historical canal walk. The cleanliness of the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we were impressed by the facilities offered. The staff, from valet to front desk, were incredibly friendly and professional. They made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Additionally, we appreciated being able to check in prior to arrival and being upgraded to a fantastic room without even having to ask.

The value for money at Commonwealth was excellent, with a well-appointed, spacious suite and friendly, professional staff. The location was perfect, with a beautiful park nearby for the dog and a variety of restaurants within walking distance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Commonwealth Hotel. The spacious suites were well-appointed, with a huge work desk, comfortable furniture, and plenty of lighting. The two large flat-screen TVs were a nice touch. The refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker, with an abundance of coffee provided, were greatly appreciated. As vegetarians and vegans, we were delighted to find plenty of restaurant recommendations within walking distance that catered to our dietary preferences. The on-premises workout facilities were a bonus, allowing us to maintain our fitness routine during our stay. The friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome throughout our visit. Lastly, the location directly across the street from the state capital made exploring the city's historic center so convenient.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The location was perfect, right by the Virginia Capitol and within walking distance of many downtown attractions. I loved being able to explore the historical canal walk and visit numerous restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding.

We loved our stay here. The location was perfect, right across a huge park and bang across the Virginia capitol. The staff from the valet to Henry at the front desk to the general manager was amazing, providing warm hospitality and excellent service. The room amenities were great and we appreciated having a kitchenette and microwave. The restaurant and bar/lounge area were lovely, and we enjoyed the welcome drink and happy hour specials.

The suite size was generous and had amazing views of the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable and provided a peaceful night's sleep. I also appreciated the presence of a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Our room at this renovated hotel was clean, comfortable and had many useful amenities like USB outlets on the lamps. We enjoyed our stay and loved the convenient location near Capitol City Park and delicious restaurants. we highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing could have been better.

The hotel is situated in a great location close to many sights and attractions, in the heart of the lively downtown area and near the imposing Capitol. The rooms are beautiful, with great decor and comfortable beds, and provide modern amenities such as a fridge and a coffee machine. Staff members are friendly and supportive. Breakfast is tasty and presented nicely.

Some rooms may lack proper sound insulation, resulting in hearing hallway noise or elevator dings from time to time.
