The rooms were clean and comfortable, with nice decor and a functioning AC system. The hotel is conveniently located, only a short drive from downtown Des Moines and other attractions in the area. The staff was friendly and professional. However, it would have been nice to have breakfast included in the pricing, and the pool was too small and overcrowded for our liking.

The hotel had ample parking and a decent bistro for a quick bite to eat. Despite a minor issue with the air conditioning, the staff promptly addressed it and moved me to another room. I had a pleasant stay at Courtyard and would recommend it to others.
