I was pleasantly surprised by the convenient location of this hotel, just a short walk away from Universal Studios. The nearby metro station also made it easy to explore attractions like the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Griffith Observatory. The room I stayed in was clean and tidy, with comfortable amenities and good WiFi. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated the complimentary bottled water. I had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.

The hotel had modern, clean rooms with a nice bathroom. It was surrounded by beautiful bougainvillea and had a quiet location, perfect for a light sleeper like me. The staff, especially Robert and Xavier, were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was in walking distance to Universal Studios and close to good restaurants. I appreciated the security measure of the front driveway gate being locked at midnight.

We loved staying here! The location was perfect for us as it offered everything we needed, including housekeeping and grocery shopping services. The shuttle service and tours/ticket assistance were convenient for exploring the area. We also appreciated the room amenities, such as the ironing facilities and sitting area, as well as the garden furniture outside. The staff were friendly and helpful during our stay.

Downsides: Small room and breakfast options limited if you don't wake up early. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a convenient stay near Universal Studios.

The location of this hotel is great, within walking distance of the Universal Studios shuttle stop and just off the freeway. The service was good, with the manager offering a tour and recommending local restaurants. The room had modern amenities, such as tea/coffee making facilities, microwave and a small wardrobe. Breakfast was included and had a decent selection.

The walls were thin, making it noisy and difficult to sleep.

The hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. the location was fantastic - tucked away in Studio City, it felt much safer than downtown. Additionally, the hotel was only a short 5-minute drive from Universal Studios and a 15-20 minute drive from the Hollywood Bowl. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had been recently renovated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. The hotel manager, Mr Sherman, provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond to accommodate our late arrival. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay at El Royale Gardens again.

Stayed over Easter and the staff were friendly. the location is near good restaurants and local attractions. Free parking was a great perk, and the shower looked newly renovated.

Although the location was good, it wasn't as central as other options. the towels were average and could be improved.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel near Universal Studios. the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even allowing me to choose my preferred room. the private room was cozy, with a comfortable bed and a spacious shower cabin. the hotel's location was perfect, just a short 10-minute walk to Universal Studios. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood, even at night. Plus, having a big Walgreens and Starbucks nearby was convenient.

I recently stayed at the El Royale Hotel near Universal Studios for a weekend trip. The beds were amazing, a rare find in hotels nowadays. The hotel is conveniently located, about a 15-20 minute walk to Universal and with an easy shuttle access. There are also great restaurants nearby. The room was clean, with minor damage in room 105. The staff was incredibly friendly and the car port provided a safe place for my vehicle. The two gentlemen, Vincent and Robert, who greeted us were kind, thoughtful, and funny. the hotel has a 50's boutique feel, with spotlessly clean rooms and superb furnishings. The customer service was exceptional and I cannot recommend the El Royale Hotel enough.

I recommend this hotel.
