We got great value for our money at this hostel. The bed setup was nicer than expected and the location was super convenient, right off of 6th street. The staff treated us well and were very helpful throughout our stay.

The only thing that could make the breakfast option better was a wider variety of food choices.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, even offering a free drink upon check-in. The hidden lounge behind the bookcase was a cool feature, and the karaoke night with locals was a fun experience. The hotel's proximity to the capital, 6th street, and the visitors center was convenient for exploring the city.

Sleeping on the top bunk was uncomfortable and not ideal for a good night's sleep.

I had an amazing experience staying at a hostel for the first time, especially at Firehouse. The gentleman who helped me during my stay was incredibly kind and made everything right. The location was perfect, the place was immaculate, and the feeling of excitement was overwhelming. The bed was comfortable with soft pillows, and having a towel provided was a nice touch. Public transportation was also conveniently located nearby.

I had an amazing time staying at Firehouse Hostel! The location was perfect for exploring the vibrant nightlife of downtown Austin. The hidden lounge behind the sliding bookcase was a cool touch. The staff were friendly and provided helpful tips on where to eat in the area. The free wifi and lockers in the rooms were convenient. Despite some noise from the bar downstairs, I still managed to have a great night's sleep. I highly recommend this hostel for a fun and funky stay in Austin.

My recent stay at Firehouse was fantastic. The location couldn't be better, right next to 6th St. It was perfect for a night out and then a quick walk back to sleep. The shower was great, with high pressure and refreshing. The free beer on arrival was a nice touch and the basic breakfast was enjoyable. During my recent stay at Firehouse Hostel, I had a fantastic experience. The location was central, allowing me to easily explore the city. The hostel itself was clean, well-maintained, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Bryan, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The recommendations from Kelly to eat at Cooper BBQ were spot on, and the food was delicious. The bar in the hostel was a great bonus, with a cool atmosphere and discounts for guests. I had a wonderful time at Firehouse Hostel and would highly recommend it to other travelers.

firehouse hostel was more than i expected from a hostel. the staff was super sweet and helpful, going out of their way to assist me. the location was perfect for enjoying the nightlife on 6th street. if you're on a budget, this is the place to stay in austin.

One towel per room is not enough.

I had a great experience during my stay at this hostel. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. I appreciated the all-day breakfast and the option for warm items in the mornings. The location of the hostel was excellent, conveniently located near many attractions. the cleanliness of the rooms and the comfortable bed were definite highlights of my stay.

There were a couple of negative aspects that should be mentioned. The blankets provided were quite small, so if you prefer larger blankets, it would be best to bring your own.

I recently stayed at a hostel in downtown with a great location and affordable prices. It was within walking distance of various dining and drinking options, as well as popular attractions like Rainey St, South Congress, and Lady Bird Lake hiking. The hostel had a cool lounge, clean bathrooms, and a peaceful atmosphere despite being close to the lively Dirty 6th. The staff, particularly Keli, was incredibly helpful and made my stay memorable and comfortable.
