I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly helpful and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. I loved the option to have a "green" stay and earn extra Hilton Honors points by withholding housekeeping. The hotel facilities were top-notch, especially the beautiful and elegant lobby. The bed and pillows were absolutely awesome, and the bathroom was clean and classy. The pool and hot tub were the nicest I've ever seen in a hotel. The location couldn't have been better, just a 5-minute walk from City Creek and in the downtown area where I needed to be. this was one of the best hotel experiences I've had!

The owners, Shelly and Lisa, were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, providing great recommendations for dining and sightseeing. The complimentary snacks and bottled waters were a thoughtful touch. The motel's grounds were well-maintained and the outdoor seating areas were perfect for enjoying the scenic surroundings. Governor's Rock Motel exceeded my expectations and I would definitely return!

My mum and I stayed in the yellow sunflower room, which was exceptionally clean and had gorgeous views of the gardens. The staff, especially Shelly, were friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for local attractions. The motel had all the necessary amenities, including a fridge and microwave, and even provided complimentary snacks. Despite being located on a historic route, there was no road noise and we slept soundly. one of the best stays of our trip!

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering helpful tips and information about the local area. The room was spacious and clean, with lovely decorations that added a cozy touch. I also appreciated the delicious cake and coffee that was available in the morning, a perfect way to start the day.

There was a small hole in the fly screen, which allowed some beetles to enter the bathroom. being a motel, there was some noise from passing cars, but it wasn't enough to disturb my stay.

Cute garden and terrace to enjoy the free WiFi. Loved the individually decorated rooms with their mini-fridges and microwaves. Conveniently close to Shaftsbury Historical Society Museum and Lake Shaftsbury State Park.

Oh boy, phone with free local calls! Because in this day and age, who doesn't love making phone calls and racking up charges?

A lot of love has gone into it and it shows - from the warm cinnamon welcome in the lobby to the exceptionally clean and tidy room. The yellow sunflower room was spacious and comfortable, with two big comfy beds and an ensuite bathroom. The self-catering essentials, fridge, and microwave were a bonus, and the complimentary snacks were a nice touch. The owner, Shelly, was delightful and gave great recommendations for local eateries and sightseeing. The motel had a nice front yard with chairs and a fire pit, perfect for relaxing. I slept brilliantly and there was zero road noise despite being on historic route 7a.
