I stayed at a beautiful historic hotel for a relaxing weekend getaway. the lobby area was inviting, and the two restaurants/bars offered great dining options. the cooked-to-order breakfast was delicious. the staff, especially Rexanne at the front desk, were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the live music in the evening and the outdoor patio with rocking chairs. Overall, a welcoming atmosphere with attentive service.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. the location was perfect - nestled in the peaceful mountains yet close to downtown. The rooms were well-maintained with a balcony and views of the garden. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Lastly, the breakfast was included in the rate and was served with a smile.

What a charming historic hotel! We had a great time during our romantic escape. the complimentary breakfast was so yummy, especially the cheese grits and cookies and tea at 3PM. the service was outstanding, the staff was friendly and treated us like family. We also loved that the hotel has a library and sitting areas where we could relax and read books or have a chat. the location was perfect, we could explore the NC High Country easily. Definitely, we recommend this hotel!

We really can't think of anything negative to say about our experience. Maybe the decor can seem a bit old-fashioned, but that's part of the unique historic experience.

The location is pretty convenient, close to the newer area and downtown. However, getting to Main Street can be a longer walk. The room and bathroom were decently clean but outdated, and the water pressure was not the best. The service was friendly but lacked attention to detail. Breakfast was basic, nothing special. Unfortunately, there were no outstanding views or facilities that made our stay memorable.

The bed was uncomfortable and left us with back pains in the morning.

The Manager was incredibly hospitable and provided us with great recommendations for local attractions. We followed her advice and had a fantastic time skiing at Sugar Mountain. The bed was comfortable, and we had a peaceful night's sleep. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. We can't wait to return this summer and explore more of the area. we highly recommend this hotel.

The WiFi and cable were not up to par, and the elevator was not consistently working. However, these were minor inconveniences that didn't outweigh the positive aspects of our stay.
