From towering trees to fascinating art, this downtown gem has it all. A stroll to the square uncovered hidden history, and even the inmates wanted out! The park nearby? Perfect place to escape. Chinatown? A cultural feast! And those rooms? Super comfy with unexpected perks. The eco-roof and museum were jaw-dropping. I could even catch a baseball game while in town! Seriously, this place had everything I needed. Oh, did I mention the sea lions? A kiwi in the city – loving it!

The views from my room at The Handlery Union Square Hotel were just stunning. Waking up to the breathtaking San Francisco skyline every morning was truly unforgettable. I also appreciated the well-appointed kitchenette, which was a thoughtful touch and made my stay even more comfortable.

the hotel's perfect location by union square and the helpful staff made our stay unforgettable. it's super close to the powell cable cars and tons of restaurants. the housekeeping was prompt and excellent - always meeting our needs - like bringing new towels and a tv remote immediately.

I stayed at Handlery Union Square Hotel only for transit during my travel, and its convenience to public transportation was exceptional. The hotel is just 1.8 km from Cal 4th & King Street, making it extremely easy to access the train station. its proximity to San Francisco International, located 25 km away, was perfect for a convenient and stress-free commute.

Despite the otherwise positive experience, the room I was offered was not as quiet as expected. Despite the staff's effort to mitigate the noise by providing earplugs, the adjoining room had poor insulation, resulting in disruptive street noise.

The location was super convenient, close to Union Square and lots of cool restaurants and shops. We checked out the trails at Golden Gate Park and went wild at Fisherman's Wharf, where we saw some sea lions chilling by the bay. It was all lit!

The only thing that could take the fun up a notch for us party-going teens would be if the hotel had a cool rooftop hangout spot with music and games. That would be epic!

The dining options nearby are off the charts! From the classic comfort food at Sears Fine Food to the upscale seafood at Farallon, and not forgetting the iconic John's Grill, you'll be spoilt for choice. The locally loved Lori's Diner and the cozy Cafe Bellini are perfect for a chill vibe.

While the hotel may have its quirks, like a rogue herd of elephants above, the exceptional staff swiftly handle any disruptions. Plus, the organic goodies and convenience to transport and shopping make The Handlery a solid pick.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the spacious rooms with comfortable beds and crisp, white sheets. The location of the hotel was also a major plus, being just steps away from a key downtown area. Additionally, the helpful and friendly staff made my experience even more enjoyable.

On the negative side, I was disappointed to find that the hotel's car parking was quite expensive, costing me $132 for just two nights. This was an unexpected expense that I only realized after parking my car.

The value for money was excellent, and I got a free upgrade to a fabulous room with a balcony facing the city. The location was fantastic, right off Union Square, with easy access to transportation, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

During our stay, we found the hotel to be in a great location close to Union Square and within walking distance of many popular bars and restaurants. The Amtrak stop on Mission Street was also conveniently close by. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with nice amenities like consistent Wi-Fi and a lift chair by the pool. Although we did not have breakfast at the hotel, the staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations for nearby eateries.

We did experience some issues with the cleanliness of our room such as dusty surfaces and old towels.
