Great atmosphere, plenty of open spaces to meet people, and a unique café. Separate house accommodation was amazing. Friendly staff. Shared bathrooms were fine. Conveniently located close to downtown Portland's Pearl District. Clean and comfortable room. Complimentary breakfast includes toast-your-own bagel with a choice of spreads and a hot beverage.

Loved the international atmosphere and the affordable price. The personal fan in the dorm room was a nice touch. The café had delicious food and catered to everyone's needs. The staff was helpful and accommodating, and there were plenty of bathrooms available. The provision of maps and explanations of apps exceeded expectations.

While the bed was not the most comfortable, the main issue was with a surly staff member on our last morning. She confronted my husband when he took our guide dog out without me and seemed to not care when he explained it was a service dog.

During my stay at a hostel in a historic location, I really enjoyed the peaceful and quiet community atmosphere. The interior and exterior of the hostel were nicely maintained, and I particularly liked the cozy cafe and outdoor areas. The rooms were clean and the bed mattresses were comfortable. Additionally, the bathrooms and showers were conveniently located and clean. The staff at Hi - Portland Northwest were very helpful and friendly, making solo travelers feel at home. I recently stayed at a fantastic hostel in the Northwest. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The common areas had all the necessary appliances and cutlery, making it easy to cook and eat. The staff were friendly and always available to assist. Plus, the location was great, with downtown and several restaurants within walking distance. I especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, where I could choose a bagel and my preferred beverage. The hostel even offered a discount on their menu items if I wanted a heartier breakfast. it was a delightful experience and I highly recommend Hi - Portland Northwest.

We had a great stay at this hostel! The female dorm room had comfortable beds and spacious lockers. The private bathroom and shower were always clean. The extra lobby space outside the rooms was cozy and peaceful. The front door locks at midnight for added security. The staff was kind, helpful, and attentive. We also enjoyed the free breakfast from the nearby restaurant.

We felt completely satisfied with our stay, nothing to complain about.

I recently stayed at Hi - Portland Northwest for a week while exploring the city. The staff was incredibly kind and approachable, and I loved the friendly and social atmosphere, both among the staff and the other guests. The outdoor spaces and furniture were fantastic, and having 24/7 common spaces was a great bonus. One unique feature I appreciated was the use of one-use hand towels in the private bathrooms instead of paper or shared towels. Additionally, the hostel's commitment to being eco-friendly was a big plus for me.
