I recently stayed at High Desert Motel for one night and had a fantastic experience. The front desk staff was friendly and check-in was quick. The room had everything I needed and was clean. The location was perfect, with easy access to the west entrance of the park and nearby amenities such as coffee shops, restaurants, and gear stores. The hot water, heater, and air conditioner all worked well, and there were plenty of towels. I was impressed with the cleanliness and felt safe during my stay. I will definitely choose this motel again.

We stayed at this motel for one night as a pit stop between camping at Joshua Tree National Park. The location was perfect, right by the visitor center, and the room had a microwave which was very convenient. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the showers had hot water and good water pressure. We were also happy to find laundry facilities on-site for only $2 each for the washer and dryer. The staff was friendly and even gave us the same room we stayed in 3 years ago. We'll definitely be back every time we visit Joshua Tree!

Despite being near the main highway, the noise didn't bother us much. The cement stairs to the second floor were also quiet. They allowed us to check in early and provided discounts for dining at good nearby restaurants. Coffee was available in the room, although it wasn't the greatest. a great choice for backpackers interested in exploring the national park.
