We recently stayed at a 4-star hotel in Hilo and had a fantastic experience. The location was ideal, situated between the historic downtown area and the commercial area past the airport, which is also the road to the Volcanoes National Park. The hotel grounds were beautiful with tropical gardens throughout, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The amenities were plentiful, with a swimming pool, a 24-hour lounge room, and even complimentary bikes and paddleboards for guests to enjoy. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and ensuring all our needs were met. this place exceeded our expectations and we are already planning to come back.

The rooms at Scp Hilo Hotel are a peaceful oasis, with thoughtful touches of Hawaii's natural beauty. The views of Hilo Bay from the standard guest rooms are breathtaking, and the lush gardens create a serene atmosphere. It's like being wrapped in a cozy Hawaiian embrace.

I personally found the TV to be a bit distracting from the peaceful vibe of the room. But I understand that some guests might appreciate having that amenity available.

As a couple, we loved the beautiful grounds with flowers and a large pond filled with Koi. The landscaping was well-maintained and there were comfortable seating areas in the lobby. We enjoyed the fresh papayas, bananas, and candy at the counter, as well as the delicious breakfast options at Coconut Grill. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful throughout our stay. We also appreciated the locked room for our luggage after checkout.

The hotel was centrally located with easy access to many attractions and had beautiful surroundings. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Additionally, the room we stayed in was very comfortable, with a great view overlooking the pond and the bay.

The parking situation at the hotel needs improvement. Many cars took up multiple spots and the parking spaces were too short for standard-sized vehicles.

I had a great time at this venue. The staff was really helpful and friendly, and there was always someone available to answer my questions. The location was perfect, and there were plenty of things to do nearby. I especially enjoyed renting a bicycle and exploring the area. The housekeeping was excellent, and my room was always clean and tidy. I also appreciated the tour and ticket assistance, which made it easy to see all the attractions.

We were pleasantly surprised by the upgrade we received upon our arrival, thanks to informing the hotel about our honeymoon. The room, although a bit dated, was incredibly clean and offered amazing views of the koi pond and ocean. The free and convenient parking was a bonus. Pleasant waiting staff. Hotel is clean and not run down. Exciting renovations happening. Spectacularly designed rooms. Free coffee and drinks. Swings, bikes, and boards available. Local art everywhere. Would recommend to others.

It's the perfect getaway from our busy city life in the Bay Area. the newly renovated hotel has a serene and peaceful ambiance, with a gorgeous modern minimalistic feel. the location is fantastic, with stunning views of the Hilo waters right outside our hotel. We enjoyed delicious meals at the Coconut restaurant next door and Ken's Pancake House down the street. the hotel offers a range of activities, including lei making and fruit tasting, which we found really enjoyable. the amenities were also great, with complimentary kombucha, coffee, and flow water, as well as live music. Our room was incredibly serene and the bed was super soft and cozy. it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend this hotel!

During our Christmas stay, we absolutely loved the friendly and welcoming staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping, everyone had a smile on their face and greeted us with Aloha. the hotel grounds were well-maintained and our room was kept clean daily. Plus, having a small pool was a nice touch for a budget-friendly hotel.

The only downside we could think of was not having enough time to fully enjoy all the hotel had to offer. We wish we had more time to relax by the pool and explore the little garden.

The hotel itself was beautiful with lovely paintings and decorations. The pool area was comfortable and nice. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary amenities like bikes and Kombucha Tea.

The hotel has a great "Old Hawaii" feel with a lovely pool area and a large Koa pond. The breakfast options were delicious with a voucher for three choices. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes from the airport and close to beautiful parks and the bay.
