Complimentary breakfast had good variety and food was well prepared.

Unfortunately, during my stay, the staff seemed overwhelmed. I encountered multiple issues with the TV, as the remotes provided were incompatible. On top of that, my room was not cleaned properly on the second day, leaving dirty towels and trash behind. I felt disappointed that there was no immediate resolution, especially when I had to retrieve towels myself after asking for them to be replaced. This made my overall experience far from ideal.

Oh, the French fries I had in Lake Charles were a crunchy delight! Each dip into the zesty aioli was a flavor explosion. Plus, the coffee and hot chocolate available in the lobby 24 hours totally saved my mornings—so clutch! Also, their breakfast featured those amazing HI Express cinnamon rolls and real eggs—definitely made it feel like home.

On the flip side, I returned only to find my room not cleaned. dirty towels and trash were still around. I reported it to the night clerk, who promised to pass it on. Was hoping for some nighttime magic, but it didn’t come to life. Still, I left smiling, thanks to the city’s vibe.
