Our stay at El Capitan was for leisure, and it lasted two nights. the jalapeno margaritas were a hit, and we loved the cozy lobby with a beautiful fireplace. the comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep. the historic building is well-maintained, featuring a lovely shady courtyard and unique vintage tiles. the dining room/bar was perfect for a relaxing evening with excellent service and food. the complimentary breakfast buffet with Texas-shaped waffles was a delightful start to the day. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall charm of the hotel. Cons: Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This venue exudes luxury! the private facilities, including a swimming pool and a fully equipped gym, are exceptional. the service is impeccable and the staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. the bar and lounge area are cozy and perfect for a romantic after-dinner drink. the room itself was spacious, with a comfortable king-size bed and a beautiful view of the city skyline.

The only minor issue was the noisy street outside the hotel. While the location provides easy access to all that the city has to offer, the busy street can be a bit disruptive at night.

Always return for romantic escape. Staff suggested best taxi first stay. Free parking, 24-hour reception, bar/ lounge, restaurant, laundry. No regrets, always comfortable and inviting.

We stayed at an old hotel during our city trip. It was a beautiful building and the room was clean and nice. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with our dog and having drinks and food while hanging out there. the locals really seem to enjoy coming to the bar on Fridays nights, it was a great atmosphere.

Our experience at the hotel was not perfect. the neon sign out front had some issues, and the ice machine was not working properly.

It is situated right on the train tracks, which can be a downside for some, but adds character to the experience. Its downtown location is perfect for exploring the local area and the restaurant is easily accessible. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well-appointed, with comfortable beds. The courtyard is a relaxing retreat with lush greenery and a lovely fountain, while the community puzzle and reading nook in the public spaces provide entertainment for all ages.

Some guests mentioned a lack of training among staff during the check-in process.
