howard johnson really exceeded our expectations. the rooms were updated and exceptionally clean. the location was perfect and the staff was delightful. the pool was well maintained and great for children. everything was wonderful.

Pool was very dirty.

The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to the beach and a beautiful ocean view. It was also conveniently located near the end of the boardwalk, which made for a pleasant stroll. Additionally, the room had useful amenities such as a microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge.

The cleanliness of the room was extremely disappointing. the bathroom was dirty, with hair in the shower and stained towels.

I was initially disappointed by the forecast of rain during my trip, but the staff at Howard Johnson turned it around. They upgraded my room and informed me about their sister hotel's indoor heated pool, perfect for rainy days. They even provided flyers with kid-friendly activities. The service was accommodating and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. The location right on the beach was also a plus.

Room size was perfect for 4 adults for a 2 night stay. Updated, clean rooms and friendly staff. Rollover parking across the street. Great location on the boardwalk. Our only complaint is that our stay wasn't long enough!

I had a short trip and the staff was friendly at Howard Johnson. The coffee bar was a nice touch. The bathroom and sink were small but manageable. Being on the boardwalk was great, with open hallways for safety. The hotel provided hand sanitizer and had many USB outlets in the room. Fresh towels were provided daily and the cleaning crew was efficient. The location was perfect, right on the boardwalk, with clean rooms and a good pool.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and had a perfect full oceanfront view. The hotel facilities were great, with a restaurant next to the pool playing good music all day. The location was ideal, within walking distance of many attractions on the boardwalk but away from the crowds. The parking was convenient as it was on the ground level. The staff was amazing, texting us throughout our stay and immediately accommodating our requests.

Absolutely nothing.

What a great last-minute find! The room had a perfect full oceanfront view in a great location. It's about 4 blocks from the end of the boardwalk, so it's more quiet. There is a restaurant right next to the pool and they play good music all day, so it's really fun. The lobby offers free coffee all day, and it's really good coffee, too. The hotel only has 5 floors, so it doesn't take long to use the elevator. They keep the grounds and rooms very clean. The parking is ground level, so it's a shorter walk to the hotel. The front desk staff are so great! They personally text you throughout your stay to see if you need or want anything. As soon as I texted them, they immediately accommodated my request. I'm going to stay here again!

We had a great stay at Howard Johnson. The room had a lovely pool view balcony, and the location was convenient, close to markets, major stores, and the beach. The beds were comfortable, and the staff, especially Christina at the front desk, were friendly. The hotel was clean, and the pool area was nice. Watching the sunset and sunrise from the balcony was fantastic. We were even impressed when they took the pet fee off our bill, even though we didn't bring our dogs.

My daughter and I stayed at Howard Johnson for 3 nights. The staff was friendly and welcoming, especially the young lady who checked us in. The ocean front balcony provided a stunning view and the hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of everything. We loved the mini oven in our room, which cooked better than my own and didn't even burn the pot pie crust. The staff ensured we had enough towels and promptly delivered anything we needed. a great experience.

I stayed at Howard Johnson for a week on a leisure trip and had a fantastic experience. The oceanfront balcony offered an amazing view, and the spacious rooms were always kept clean. The restaurant workers were kind and efficient, making dining a pleasure. The pool was clean and a good size. I will definitely book here again next year.
