The rooms at Hyatt Place Sumter/Downtown are so comfy and spacious! I really liked the separate seating area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The free WiFi and flat-screen TV were great for unwinding, and the bathroom had everything I needed.

I wish the breakfast options were a bit more varied.

Location is great, close to downtown restaurants and parking was not a problem. the staff was very friendly and the rooms were modern and clean. Wi-Fi signal was decent.

The internet was not private and had security issues, couldn't connect properly. the breakfast option I paid for promised pancakes or waffles, but we didn't get any.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place in downtown Sumter. We chose this hotel to escape a hurricane on the SC coast, and we were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The rooms and facilities were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed our room with a view overlooking main street. The location was perfect, with easy access to downtown restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and always greeted us with a smile. We also appreciated the convenience of the coffee bar in the evenings. Parking was not an issue, which was a bonus for a downtown hotel. a great stay!

It's also close to beautiful historic spots, perfect for wandering around. The service is top-notch, with everything from dry cleaning to housekeeping to laundry and wake-up calls available. The rooms are outfitted with everything you could need, including ironing facilities, heating, AC, tea and coffee facilities, and a sitting area. The bathrooms have great amenities like hair dryers and free toiletries, as well as a shower or bath. There's a pool and free Wi-Fi, and the staff is so attentive.
