the outside space was absolutely lovely, but woudl ve been even better with more picnic tables! and what's up with the private kitchen area? felt totally unnecessary for a hotel! i was half-expecting a complimentary welcome gift to make up for the room's detail neglect—too bad that didn’t happen. almost gave a good review but just couldn’t.

the inn at the river is a beautiful spot right on the eau claire river. our deluxe queen room was spacious and included a cozy private kitchen area. we had a lovely evening fire by the river, and the views of sandhill cranes were amazing. the owners, margaret and dan, were incredibly welcoming and served delicious meals. it felt like a true getaway!

Could use more attention to detail in room upkeep!!! The private kitchen area felt a bit unnecessary. a smaller kitchenette would have sufficed!!! More varied decor might help create a nicer atmosphere!!!

i had a fantastic family holiday at this lovely inn in wauasu, and it truly exceeded my expectations. the cozy accommodations featured a beautiful outdoor space by the river and comfortable rooms that felt like home. the homemade breakfasts, especially the delicious crepes, were a highlight for us and made our stay even more enjoyable.

We loved chillin' on the balcony of our room with amazing river views! The family vibe from the staff was so welcoming, and the breakfasts were yummy, especially the fresh fruit. Only thing was, the picnic area could've used a few more tables. Can't wait to return!

The Deluxe Queen Room was a spacious retreat with a comfortable setup, featuring a lovely private bath and a unique kitchen area. Enjoyed delightful grilled Teppanyaki fish during breakfast, perfectly complemented by fresh fruit. While the outdoor space was breathtaking, with a fire pit ideal for evenings, a few more tables in the picnic area would’ve enhanced the experience. A small upgrade in the room decor could elevate the cozy vibe even further.

We found a real gem here! The hosts were like family, and their pup Theo was such a breath of fresh air,, made us feel right at home. The breakfast? Oh man, it was a three-course delight, especially the omelette and homemade jam. And the sauna after skiing? Pure bliss!

It wasn’t exactly a bargain,, but worth every penny, trust me.
