My stay at La Quinta Inn And Suites by Wyndham Houston Spring South was quite an enjoyable experience, akin to discovering a hidden gem in a backyard. The rooms were cozy, and the air conditioning worked like a charm, keeping the Texas heat at bay. The daily breakfast was like a buffet at a friendly diner, giving me just the right amount of fuel to start my day. The fitness center was handy too, making me feel less guilty about all those breakfast muffins!

The location has quick access to the freeway and ample parking space, making it easy to come and go. The lobby area is clean and stylish, setting a decent first impression after a long journey.

Unfortunately, the quality of the stay took a hit with noises from other guests disrupting the peace, including barking dogs and loud children well past midnight. The pool was out of service, and even basic amenities like towels and toiletries were insufficient, leading to multiple frustrations. I encountered a TV remote that didn’t work and couldn’t get timely assistance when I needed it, which made for a rather tedious night. Overall, the maintenance and cleanliness were lacking, with reports of dirty blankets and unkempt areas in the rooms.

Parking lot spots are plentiful and well-lit. The lobby had lots of comfortable seating and smelled clean. Access to the freeway is easy and convenient. The breakfast area was decent but could use more variety.

The beds were super comfy, like I could’ve spassed the whole day away. The staff were really sweet and helped out when I needed some info. Breakfast had a Texas-shaped waffle which was quite a jol!

But the brekkie area could use more options, only 1 waffle maker, and not much variety, bit of a letdown. I don’t think I’ll stay here again, though.

The front desk staff was very accommodating when I mistakenly booked the wrong room, quickly helping to switch me to the correct one. The location proved to be fantastic, with numerous restaurants and shops conveniently within walking distance. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in my room struggled to keep things cool, which was disappointing. Another drawback was the lack of assistance from staff on a separate occasion, where communication was frustrating, ultimately leading me to search for alternative accommodations. I did enjoy the udon dish at a nearby restaurant during my stay.

During my stay in late March, I enjoyed the self-serve breakfast options available on weekdays. It was a nice way to start the day. The fitness center provided basic equipment to stay active, which I appreciated. A 24-hour business center came in handy as I needed to catch up on some work. Overall, the location made it convenient to reach surrounding attractions. The staff were helpful when I had inquiries about local sites.
