The location was perfect for exploring the harbor front and downtown. The breakfast in the neighboring house was a cozy, family-style experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property owned several historical homes on the same street, and we were upgraded to a beautiful room in one of them. The room had a large king size bed and a spacious bathroom with two vanity sinks. We appreciated the black "Make-Up" towel provided. The guest keeper greeted us with hot coffee at 6am before our early departure. The parking behind the building was easily accessible.

The hotel's location on Clarke street, a historic street of homes from the 1700s, was perfect for exploring the nearby historic center. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious.

The place was clean, neat, and had ample off-road parking. The bed was extremely comfortable. The innkeeper who checked us in was polite and nice. It was conveniently located near the strip, just a short walk away. Prices were reasonable.

The rooms were comfortable and charming, with a nice old world feeling. The hotel's location was excellent, within walking distance of everything we needed. The free parking was a great bonus.

The bathroom in our room was very small and in need of updating. The breakfast area in a different inn was small and crowded, so we had to go elsewhere to eat.

I recently stayed at Melville House for a weekend getaway. Rick, the innkeeper, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, within walking distance to downtown and they even provided free parking. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with freshly prepared food and organic coffee. My family recommended Melville House for our stay in Newport, and we couldn't have been happier. The location was ideal, allowing us to walk to restaurants, shopping, and bars. Despite it being December, the weather was pleasant, and the room provided a comfy and quiet retreat. The highlight was the fantastic breakfast served by a friendly waitress. It made for a delightful start to each day of our stay.
