We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were top-notch. The parking was convenient, allowing us to easily access our vehicle. The location practically on top of the ocean was breathtaking. We enjoyed being right next to the beach, with the sound of the waves lulling us to sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home.

The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, with the ocean just steps away from the balcony. We spent hours watching the waves crash against the rocks, it was truly mesmerizing. the location of the hotel was perfect for a peaceful getaway. It felt like a secluded paradise, surrounded by untouched wilderness. the nearby walks and trails offered plenty of opportunities to explore and connect with nature. One advantage that we really enjoyed was the cleanliness and coziness of the room. It felt recently updated and the paint job added a fresh touch to the overall ambiance.

One of the biggest drawbacks was the remote location of the hotel. the curvy and narrow road to reach the place was quite challenging, especially if you're not confident driving in such conditions.

Great oceanfront location with stunning views. Loved falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. Every room has an ocean view, which is a major plus. The hotel is close to the water, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The outdoor seating at the restaurant offered a perfect spot to watch the sea while enjoying tasty Thai curry.

Limited facilities in the town, it's quite remote. The drive to and from the hotel is challenging, especially if you're not comfortable with winding roads.

As close to the beach as it gets, with a beautiful view from the third-story room. The crashing waves could be heard all night, creating a soothing atmosphere. Donna, the innkeeper, was very nice and provided helpful suggestions of things to do in the area. I appreciated the contactless check-in process and the convenience of unlocking the room with a code.

We've been visiting Shelter Cove for 25 years and the location of this hotel has always been perfect. The balcony offered a wonderful way to enjoy the ocean view and relaxing sounds. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffeemaker. It's a small hotel right next to the ocean, with every room offering a gorgeous view. We found it to be a hidden gem and one of our favorite stops on our California coast & redwoods road trip.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable! It is situated right by the water, allowing you to enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean. the sound of the waves crashing against the shore is so soothing and relaxing. Another great thing about this hotel is its proximity to Black Sand Beach. Although it might be a bit of a walk, the beach is a peaceful and serene place to unwind and enjoy the sand between your toes.

One downside of this hotel is the outdated furniture and amenities. Some of the balcony chairs were rusty and chipped, which made it uncomfortable to use them.

We loved the stunning room and balcony, and the friendly and helpful manager, Donna. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a beautiful oceanfront deck where we enjoyed breakfast and tea every morning. The location was perfect, as it was right on the beach and we could watch the seals from our balcony. The staff, especially the young lady who checked us in, was wonderful.

As backpackers, we loved the serpentine road leading to the hotel, with its breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea. The hotel itself stood on sea rocks, offering an incredible location. The balcony provided a beautiful view, and we left the patio door open all night to enjoy the sounds of the crashing waves. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the sheets and towels smelled fresh and inviting. We also had the thrill of seeing wildlife in the morning, from skunks to bucks to seals. With the hotel's proximity to local restaurants and a bar within walking distance, we had a memorable stay.

We felt so much at home at The Oceanfront Inn in Shelter Cove that we had nothing to complain about.

Although there was no onsite food available, I enjoyed exploring the nearby restaurants and trying out local cuisine. Despite the steps to the beach being out of use during my stay, I could still appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a peaceful and scenic retreat.
