had a romantic weekend in Keystone, Powder House Lodge was a pleasant surprise with its charm, friendly staff, and amazing location near everything we wanted to do. exceeded expectations. cons: spotty wifi connection.

We recently stayed at a lodge near Mount Rushmore and had a great experience. The location of the lodge was convenient for exploring the area attractions. The cabin we stayed in was charming and clean. We especially enjoyed dining at the on-site restaurant. The menu had a variety of options, appealing to both kids and foodies. The staff, especially Ben, were friendly and provided excellent service. we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this lodge to others.

Powder House Lodge was an absolute gem in the Black Hills. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable staff who made us feel right at home. The lodge itself had a rustic charm that transported us into a cozy log cabin, complete with a private hot tub and luxurious amenities. We felt like we were part of the family, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our experience was satisfying. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Parking spots for some cabins are tricky.

Our family loved staying at the cabin with a loft and a small kitchenette. Although it was a little hard to keep cool, the rooms were clean and housekeeping did a good job everyday. The small pool was a plus and the restaurant was exceptional. We would recommend staying here. a great experience.

Loved the beautiful surroundings and proximity to nearby attractions. The rustic cabins were charming and had all the necessary amenities, including a private deck to enjoy the scenery. The staff was exceptional, going above and beyond to accommodate last-minute changes and requests. Bonus points for the comfy beds and the convenience of having a pool, restaurant, mini fridge, and microwave.

The bathrooms could use some updating as they were clean but on the older side. , it would have been nice to have a few more lights for better visibility when walking back to the room after dinner.

We stayed in a location surrounded by beautiful trees and forests - a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! The restaurant was a nice convenience, and we were close to all the attractions we wanted to see in the Black Hills. The proximity to Mount Rushmore, hiking, and Sylvan Lake was a major advantage.

The rooms were outdated and uncomfortable.

The hotel's location in the Black Hills is simply breathtaking with beautiful mountain views. The basic amenities like daily room cleaning and fresh towels were a plus. The hotel's staff was attentive and made sure we had a rollaway bed for our son, right on the sofa bed where we could all be together. Breakfast included was an added bonus.

No negative aspects come to mind, all was great!

the location was ideal, with Mount Rushmore and Rapid City just a short drive away. We also loved visiting Sylvan Lake at Custer State Park, which was a breathtaking hour and a half drive. the cabin itself was beautiful, with lovely wood accents, a cozy front porch with a swing, and a picnic table for outdoor meals. We enjoyed watching the wildlife, especially the deer, and the bedroom had a comfortable bed with nice linen. the on-site restaurant was a convenient and delicious option, and the staff provided friendly service. we couldn't have asked for a better location and experience.

Powder House Lodge was great! the main room had a huge window overlooking the property and playground, and there was also a deck with patio furniture. the room was clean and quiet, and we couldn't hear the other guests at all. I was pleasantly surprised to find a TV in the second bedroom, and the beds were comfortable with extra pillows. the onsite restaurant was good and prepared our meal quickly. the location was perfect, just a short drive to downtown. We will definitely be staying here again!

The King room cabin was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. It was super convenient to have the restaurant just a short walk away, and we were blown away by the excellent food they served. The breakfast menu was absolutely fantastic. The location of the lodge was ideal - nestled in a tranquil rural area just north of town. Despite being on a main road, it was surprisingly quiet, and we even spotted deer nearby in the morning. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the beds, including the pull out, were extremely comfortable. The outdoor patio with gas firepit was a jaw-dropping addition, especially since the pool was closed. The kids loved the playground, and there were so many activities to do like hiking, canoeing, fishing, and horseback riding. this place was mind-blowing and provided a beautiful and comfortable cabin stay with fantastic restaurant and amenities.

Cozy and clean cabin with a lovely fireplace, swing, and picnic table. A perfect spot to enjoy wildlife and have a relaxing stay. Conveniently located near Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff, plus dog-friendly policy. a memorable vacation.

The 6 plex at this lodge is conveniently located near Keystone for shopping and dining options, as well as being situated in the scenic Black Hills. The rooms are comfortable with amenities such as a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Guests have access to a great deck to enjoy the surroundings.

The busy highway nearby can create a noisy environment at times, making it difficult to fully appreciate the outdoor space.

I had an amazing time at this venue surrounded by beautiful nature. The location in the Black Hills is stunning and it's nestled on the mountain-side which made for breathtaking views. It's located between just about everything and I found the shops and commercial services to be very convenient. The room amenities were top-notch with ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and a patio with garden furniture. The dining options were great, and the staff was very accommodating with special diet menus. Relaxing by the outdoor heated swimming pool was the perfect way to end my day.

I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The complimentary breakfast and gym were nice perks, and the location was close to local attractions. the room had a good view of the mountains, and the bed was comfortable.

The cleanliness of the room left something to be desired, and the staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. the Wi-Fi was spotty, and the noise from neighboring rooms was a constant disturbance.
