I recently stayed at Residence Inn Downtown UAB for 3 nights while visiting the UAB campus. The hotel is well-maintained and feels newer than its actual age. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance and easy access to the UAB campus. The hotel staff, especially Latara and Steven, were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout our stay. I will definitely be staying here again!

The Monday night mixer at Residence Inn was outstanding! The chicken noodle soup was unbelievably delicious, and the gumbo was surprisingly great for a non-coastal area. The kitchen staff went above and beyond, ensuring every table was clean. Well done, Residence Inn!

I recently had a fantastic 12-day stay at a hotel in Birmingham near UAB hospital. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, especially when we weren't sure about our loved one's release date. The hotel is conveniently located in the 5 Points area, with plenty of great dining options within walking distance. The rooms by the front desk were spacious and well-equipped, complete with full kitchens. And the breakfast spread offered a good variety of delicious options to start the day.

All in all, everything was fine during my stay.

The value for the money was excellent - we got a large, comfortable room with great amenities like free Showtime access and a movable television. The location was convenient, being close to UAB and a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go. The staff at the hotel was exceptional, going above and beyond to provide everything we needed.

The hotel breakfast could have been better with more variety or options.

We had a nice Easter weekend at a hotel in the downtown area. the free hot breakfast was surprisingly good, and we also enjoyed the happy hour beer/wine. the hotel’s location was great for exploring the city and finding places to eat. We also appreciated the free parking we were able to find on the street.

The rooms were not as clean as we had hoped. the bathroom had a strong odor that made us uncomfortable.

Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near the edge of the campus, making it easy to access.

There were a few negative aspects to our stay. The parking situation was a bit scarce, especially at night, and we often had to park on the street or close to the hotel.

It was also located in an area that was perfect for college sporting events, such as tennis playoffs. The room and bathroom were satisfactory, and the breakfast was decent with a good variety of options. The view was also pleasant with the quiet street below. The hotel also had free internet access in the lobby.
