What a change of scenery!!! We stayed in the Tex room on the main floor and it was very clean and comfortable. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, just a few blocks away from the Sweetwater Saloon and Diver-Down Restaurant & Bar. The mansion itself was a hidden gem with well-preserved historic architecture. The atmosphere was amazing, with live music on the deck every weekend. The owners made us feel like friends and the selection of beer and wine was fantastic. I highly recommend this cozy getaway in Southern Illinois!

We definitely got great value for our money at Riverview Mansion. The room was incredibly comfortable and we were able to adjust the temperature to our liking. The location was perfect for our weekend getaway to the national forest, and the owners were so friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast offerings could use a little improvement, maybe adding some fresh pastries or a hot option would be nice. But overall, our stay at Riverview Mansion was fantastic!

Nothing could have been better.

The owners of Riverview Mansion are wonderful, friendly people who make you feel right at home. We enjoyed chatting with them at the bar and trying some local drinks they offer. The room was incredibly comfortable and allowed us to easily control the temperature to our liking. Although our room didn't have a shower, the owners arranged for us to use another guest's shower, which was very generous. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the nearby national forest, making it an ideal choice for a weekend trip.

We had a fantastic stay at a Riverview Mansion Hotel in Golconda. The best aspects of our stay were the cleanliness of the hotel, the friendly staff, and the great location near the Shawnee Forest and Ohio river. We also enjoyed the hotel facilities and the delicious local beer and wine selection at the Levee Lounge.

Additionally, the staff were friendly and provided excellent hospitality. Another highlight was the comfortable and spacious rooms.

There were a few areas that could be improved. the building itself was in need of maintenance and updating, which was quite noticeable.

The dinner at their restaurant was amazing, with a great menu selection. Tanny's, a nearby breakfast spot, was also fantastic. The outdoor patio at the back of the mansion would have been a great addition if it was open. The shopping in the wine area offered beautiful gift options, and I highly recommend getting yourself a cheese board before leaving.

As bike riders, we were thrilled to find bike storage and repair facilities available at Riverview Mansion. The beautiful surroundings provided a picturesque backdrop for our biking adventures.

We felt extremely well taken care of during our stay, with the couple who owns and operates the hotel going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
