I had an amazing stay at this cute motel near the beach. The newly remodeled room was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities I needed, like a refrigerator and microwave. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. The location was convenient, with easy access to activities, restaurants, and shopping.

While the breakfast options were good, it would have been even better if there were more variety in the food options available in the morning.

We loved our stay at this motel! The front staff was incredibly helpful with check-in and gave great restaurant recommendations. The hotel facilities were perfect for our needs. We had a mini fridge and a toaster oven in our room, which was so convenient. The motel was also very clean and beautifully decorated. The best part was the location, right across from the beach access point. It was so easy to walk over to the ocean and enjoy the beautiful views. we couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Our stay at Tar Heel Motel was fantastic! The newly renovated rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds were even better than the more expensive hotel we stayed in the night before. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. When we needed change for the vending machine, Jess kindly gave us all the ones she had, even though she wasn't working the next day. We were also impressed by the staff who kept my daughter's lost sunglasses safe until we could retrieve them. The location was convenient, with restaurants and shopping nearby, and the picnic tables and grills were a great addition. I highly recommend this hotel for a great getaway experience.

The location of the hotel was perfect, just across the street from the beach access point and conveniently close to the Dunes Restaurant. the newly renovated rooms were beautifully decorated with a gorgeous themed decor. the beds were extremely comfortable with tons of pillows. the hotel also offered a clean pool with nice lawn furnishings and even had courtesy barbecue grills for guests to use, which we enjoyed using for some delicious meals.

One downside was the combination door lock; it took multiple attempts to open at times, which was a bit frustrating.

The room and hotel were super cute and had a comfy decor and linens. Convenient location to many attractions. Loved the parking right outside the room. The kitchette was super with room for parking bikes and a nice table and chairs. Furniture was lovely.

The location of the motel is perfect - we were able to walk to the pier, Sam and Omies, Duneburger, and even a new park. Checking in and out was a breeze, and we appreciated the easy process. Tar Heel Motel is a beautifully upgraded mom and pop type motel, and we would highly recommend it for a relaxing and convenient stay.

The motel had a charming historical touch and the staff was incredibly responsive and friendly. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and we especially loved the pool area with its beautiful furnishings and fun games like corn-hole and horseshoes. The motel even had several gas grills for guests to use for BBQ meals. our stay at TarHell Motel was wonderful and we look forward to going back.
