Staying at this hotel was like stepping back in time, in the best way possible. the staff was beyond welcoming, making us feel right at home. the attention to detail was impeccable - from the cozy rocking chairs on the front porch to the delicious breakfast spread, everything was just perfect. the rooms were not only comfortable but also beautifully furnished, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring nearby historic sites. And let's not forget about the incredible value for money, with breakfast included, making it a complete package for a memorable stay.

My first B&B experience at Babcock House felt like a warm embrace. the modern yet cozy suite with a gas fireplace was a delight during our stay. the farm-to-table breakfasts were scrumptious, and the library added a charming touch for book lovers like me. the staff's personal touches, from retrieving a forgotten ring to offering to send my lost shirt, truly exemplified top-notch service. We will definitely return!

We stayed in a lovely suite and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Our dinner was divine, with fresh, tasty food and decently large portions. the atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful, bright, and pleasant. We also enjoyed a complimentary basket of fresh strawberries and discovered a new favorite drink, the Cranberry Margarita.

The restaurant can get quite busy, so reservations are recommended. while the historic atmosphere is available, you may need to request it as the newer addition is the default seating area.

As two women traveling alone, we felt truly at ease and welcomed by the warm and personable staff. The modern yet cozy suite with a farmhouse feel and gas fireplace was our happy place during our stay. The food was nothing short of amazing - breakfast included peaches in molasses with whipped cream and a ham omelet that were deliciously satisfying. The beautiful library was a huge bonus for book lovers like us. The Inn Keeper went above and beyond by mailing back my forgotten ring and offering to purchase and mail a shirt I forgot to buy. Truly exceptional service!

I stayed in the Havilah room and loved having access to the rooftop balcony and front porch. The breakfasts were delicious. The location was convenient for visiting Appomattox and the DDay Memorial. I highly recommend this quaint inn for a lovely getaway.
