Pontchartrain Hotel St. Charles Avenue Reviews
Great location for exploring the city. Comfortable and well-decorated rooms. The rooftop bar offers a stunning view. Attentive and friendly staff. Convenient access to nearby restaurants.
The cafe in the hotel forum offered nice, reasonably priced breakfast options. The bartenders at the bar were friendly and the rooftop bar had amazing views. The room on the last floor had a great city skyline view and a complimentary bottle of champagne. The room's interior design was stunning, especially the spacious and stylish bathroom.
Well-equipped room, clean and comfortable. Luxurious bathrobes provided. Fabulous view and drinks at the Tin Roof. Friendly and helpful staff. Good service and food at the Silver Whistle Cafe and Bayou Bar. Beautifully furnished room with exquisite bed. Gem of a restaurant at Jack Rose.
Nothing, no complaints at all.
I loved staying at this place! The location is perfect, right on the trolley line making it super easy to get around. The staff went above and beyond for me, fulfilling a personal request I had. The room was cozy and had everything I needed, including a mini-bar and comfortable sitting area. The in-room amenities were fantastic, I appreciated the ironing facilities and the free toiletries. The sun terrace was a great spot to relax and enjoy the views.
The rooftop bar offered breathtaking views of the city skyline, creating a picturesque setting for drinks and relaxation. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great location, spacious room, good amenities, tasty cocktails, spectacular view, outstanding staff, charming breakfast restaurant, lovely live jazz bar.
All was good.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel in the Garden District. The location was absolutely perfect, situated right along the St Charles trolley line. It was so convenient to hop on a trolley and be downtown in no time. Additionally, there were buses available nearby for easy exploration of all the great sights in the city.
This place is highly recommended for everyone.
Our weekend getaway was incredible. The food and drinks were delightful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooftop bar provided us with a stunning view of the area we were visiting. We were pleased to find out there was a café nearby as well; the pricing was reasonable and the food delicious.
The valet parking service was expensive and not worth it. The parking lot was a bit far and out-of-the-way, plus the valet attendant tried to charge us extra for not picking up our car when we checked out. It was frustrating and left us with a bad impression.
Our family had a wonderful stay in this hotel. We enjoyed breakfast at the cafe, which had tasty coffee and subpar food but loved the location on St Charles Avenue. The room was spacious, well-decorated and very comfortable, with unique artwork and a very quiet atmosphere. The staff was competent, efficient, and super-nice; they helped us with everything we needed. We loved the lovely view of the city and the easy access to the French Quarter via streetcar.
Sadly, there was an unpleasant odor of cleanser after the room was serviced.
Great location in a charming neighborhood with easy access to attractions. Beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. Temperature control and storage were good. The rooftop bar offers great drinks and stunning views.
Food at the Bayou Bar was not good.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location on beautiful St. Charles Avenue was excellent, with the streetcar only steps away. The rooms were elaborately decorated and the room keys were charming. The staff quickly learned our names and were extremely friendly. The bar was open earlier than advertised and the rooftop bar was a trendy hangout. The hotel's proximity to the WW II museum and several nearby restaurants and bars made it a convenient choice.
Limited dining options were available at the hotel during our stay, which was disappointing. Although the staff was friendly and accommodating, we did not receive any recognition for a special occasion. The price for valet parking was a bit high. Everything else exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Great location and comfortable stay at a historic hotel. Enjoyed the rooftop bar and nearby restaurants. Though valet parking was expensive and off-site, we had no issues. I would recommend this hotel for a visit to the city.
