We had a fantastic time of year to bring the whole family to The Smoke House Lodge. The rugged setting is perfect for outdoor activities, with scenic overlooks, hiking trails, and a 20-acre recreation area offering plenty of fun for kids and adults alike. The nearby South Cumberland State Recreation Area also provides opportunities for adventure, with its trails, waterfalls, and beautiful swimming holes. The lodge's proximity to attractions such as the Jack Daniels and George Dickle Distilleries, as well as the Monteagle Assembly's family-oriented summer sessions, made our family trip even more enjoyable.

For dads, it would be great to have more kid-friendly activities available for families with children.

We explored the South Cumberland State Recreation Area and hiked the scenic trails with breathtaking overlooks and cool waterfalls, perfect for adventure-seeking teens. The lodge's recreation area was awesome, offering a swimming pool, bike rentals, and lots of space for outdoor games and campfires. The brisk air and beautiful views made it a fantastic time for us to hang out and have fun.

The hotel offers great value for money with reasonable prices and attention to detail. The location near tourist spots and in the mountains is perfect for what we were in the area for. The staff provides excellent service and the basic amenities are just what you need. The rooms have very comfortable beds, including 2 queen beds with a couch. And breakfast is included in the rate, which is a nice bonus.

Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience. the restaurant served amazing food with mouth-watering bottled sauces included in the rate. the location in the family cabin main area made it convenient to explore the area's attractions and nearby stores and restaurants. the outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi were a great way to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing.

There were a couple of minor things that could be improved. the bed sheets and blankets felt a bit scratchy, and the heating unit occasionally turned cold even when set to a high temperature.
