The place has a unique historic vibe, with creaky floorboards and stories from its past, including secret passages from the underground railroad. The cozy common areas, along with the warm sunlight pouring into rooms like Kingsbury, add to the charm of the stay.

The Kingsbury room faces the main road, which can be noisy, especially with a window air conditioner that struggles to drown it out. There are also limited electrical outlets, and though the renovations are in progress, it's noticeable in the older rooms. A few more modern touches wouldn't hurt. Some bathrooms are indeed small, making it a bit of a squeeze.

We had a lovely stay at Waldo Emerson Inn for two nights. Our room, Sweet Haven, featured a cozy fireplace, but could benefit from a refresh. Breakfast was a highlight with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and Hana was incredibly accommodating, helping with local recommendations and dietary needs. This charming B&B is perfect for couples looking for a cozy getaway.

Had a braw time! The room was pure charming, and Hana's brekkies were cracking—like a delightful two-course feast! Only wee thing was the limited outlets, but that dinnae spoil the experience. Can't wait to go back!
