I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just a few minutes' walk to the beach and close to very good eating establishments. The view from my room was beautiful, and I could hear the waves all night long. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. The hotel facilities were great, with secure windows that could be left open for the fresh ocean breeze. The room was extremely clean, especially for a pet-friendly room. the best aspects were the convenient location close to everything in this city and the excellent service provided by the staff.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The staff was friendly and provided helpful tips about the area. The view from the 2nd floor balcony was great, allowing for beautiful ocean scenery. Additionally, having an elevator was convenient especially when carrying heavy luggage.

The room lacked certain amenities such as a microwave and the TV didn't work, with unhelpful staff. The furniture in the room was outdated and small, not matching the pictures provided.

The room was not as clean as expected, with visible dust and stains on the furniture. The breakfast options were limited and not very appetizing, especially during the holiday season when guests were expecting more variety.

I recently stayed at the Whaler in Newport for a weekend getaway. The view from the back deck was absolutely breathtaking, and I wish the weather had been warmer so I could have enjoyed it more. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially when I had a few mishaps with my reservation. The room was spacious and had a beautiful balcony, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The hotel even provided a continental breakfast, which was a nice touch. a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.

Nothing not to like.

I recently stayed at the Whaler Motel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spotless and the beds incredibly comfortable. I loved the light wood furniture and the abundance of natural light from the patio doors and windows. The unique feature of the transoms allowed for great cross-ventilation. Additionally, on the second and third floors, you could easily reach the office without getting wet in the rain. a fantastic stay at the Whaler Motel.

loved our stay at the whaler in newport. staff was wonderful, room had ocean view and we even saw whales. hot tub and pool were great. playground nearby for kids. can't wait to go back!

The staff went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were taken care of. The room itself was clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, the fresh baked muffins and coffee served every morning were a delightful treat. we highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
