I recently stayed at Traditions Hotel & Spa, Ascend Hotel Collection, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The staff were attentive, quickly assisting with my luggage and providing helpful recommendations for local attractions. The rooms were spacious and clean, with an inviting ambiance that combined elegant touches from the early 1900s with modern conveniences. Breakfast was enjoyable, featuring options like bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs, as well as yogurt and waffles, which were a perfect start to my day. The tavern offered a cozy atmosphere with a welcoming bartender who served exceptional drinks at reasonable prices. I especially loved taking a winter walk through the glen, which added a special touch to my stay. Overall, it was a lovely getaway, and I look forward to returning.

Room for improvement on cleanliness and decor.

The highlight for me was the morning buffet breakfast, it had options like waffles and bacon, filled me up for the day. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly and proactive, going above and beyond to ensure everything was just right for us.

It wasn't exactly cheap but I would say it was still reasonable for what you get.

Our room was spotless upon arrival, and the bar by the fireplace was delightful! The waffle machine had our daughter grinning from ear to ear for breakfast bliss.

The only downside? I've seen better bathroom soap in my grandma's cupboard! And who knew breakfast could run out faster than a gossip at a tea party?

Plus, the beautiful grounds and history of the property made our stay memorable. And that breakfast? Scrambled eggs and loads of bacon were the perfect start to each day!

However, the TV didn't work, and boy, the walls were paper thin! We were right above a graduation party, and it was very very very loud. Oh, and while breakfast was enjoyable the second morning, a hair in my son's eggs left us all hesitant to eat again.

The beautiful scenery had my friend from Long Island amazed at Upstate NY's charm. The accommodating staff made my baby shower and stay memorable, even helping with hair and makeup at the Spa.

Despite the attention to events, there were complaints about cleanliness, with some guests finding issues like unemptied trash bins that affected their experience and overall impressions.

Inconsistent cleaning standards!!! Noise from events can be disruptive!!! The hotel could use some updates and maintenance to enhance guest comfort!!! Parking is a hassle during peak times!!! Event management leaves room for improvement!!!

our stay at traditions hotel was awesome! the room was super clean and spacious, and the staff were really friendly. the spa was amazin too, with a salt cave and sauna that helped us relax. oh, and the breakfast had good options like waffles and bacon which was a hit! we liked the pretty decor and the vibe of the place, made it feel special.
