We stayed at Truckee Donner Lodge for a few nights while exploring the area. The hotel's location near the lake was perfect for our activities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool and hot tub were a hit with the kids. Aside from the need for an elevator upgrade, we had a great time and would definitely return.

The location is really convenient, right off the highway and within walking distance of the state park. It was so easy to get to the Town of Truckee and the ski resorts. The staff was friendly and provided great service. The room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely view of the forest. It felt like I was staying at a large chain hotel, with all the amenities I needed. I even had a babbling creek outside my window, so peaceful. Another highlight was the breakfast. They had a delicious spread with eggs, bacon, and waffles. It was a great start to the day, even if they only had bananas for fruit.

Everything was great, no improvements needed.

Convenient location and excellent service

We stayed at a hotel in Truckee for a winter mini vacation. The location was perfect, close to the freeway but without the noise. It was just a short drive to Squaw Valley Ski resort and downtown Truckee. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. We loved relaxing in the outdoor hot tub after a day on the slopes. The free breakfast in the morning was decent. we had a great stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel for its convenient location and excellent service.

The rooms with 2 queen beds were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was good with options like eggs, bacon, and waffles.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly, letting me check into my room early so I could go skiing without worrying about my vehicle. The location was perfect, close to several things nearby that I wanted to do, such as the Truckee Summer Farmers Markets, concerts on the shores of Lake Tahoe, and hiking and biking in charming western historical downtown. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were great. I especially enjoyed the 24/7 coffee machine in the lobby and the daily weather forecast posted. The staff was kind and didn't intrude unless I needed them. The included breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options including scrambled eggs, sausage, omelettes, bacon. The pancake machine was a cool touch. I had a wonderful experience.

We got great value for our money at this hotel. The room was clean and just as pictured on the website. The location was perfect, close to the freeway, shopping, and Donner Lake. The staff at the front desk were incredibly welcoming and provided us with lots of helpful information for our stay.

Breakfast option could be improved, especially the eggs. They tasted a bit weird both days.
