Pros": For the price we paid, the value at this lodge was spot on. The room was modernized and cozy, with a super comfy bed. The location was perfect, being just a short drive away from the train, downtown area, and restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were clean. We enjoyed the grassy park area for our little one and the nearby Animas River was great for exploring. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed and living area were spacious and comfortable. We've found our new home away from home in Durango!

We had a wonderful stay at a cozy lodge just minutes from downtown. the room was clean and comfortable, with two beds separated by a half-height wall. It had all the amenities we needed, including a small table with chairs, a refrigerator, and a microwave. the staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with lots of information. the location was great, and even pet-friendly. it was definitely worth the value, and we would stay here again.

I was delighted with the spacious and well-lit room I stayed in at Wapiti Lodge. The deep soaking bath tub was a definite highlight, providing much-needed relaxation after a long day of exploring. The outside walkway to the room added a cool and unique touch to the overall experience. Despite a few minor inconveniences like having to clean the bathtub myself and the cable TV not working, the overall value for money was excellent. Despite the lack of privacy due to multiple unlockable interior doors, I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. I would definitely recommend Wapiti Lodge to travelers looking for an affordable and enjoyable experience.

The hotel's cleanliness was top-notch, with spacious and well-appointed rooms. We loved the view of the mountains right in front of us and enjoyed sitting on the front porch chairs. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to downtown and the river trail.

I had the best stay at this hotel! The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully organized. The bathroom looked brand new, and they even provided a lovely selection of toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner. The shower and tub were immaculate, and my granddaughter absolutely loved the room - she said it was the best room she's ever stayed in! With two pillows for each person, a working refrigerator, a parlor fan. The hotel had excellent Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets for charging our devices. The location was also fantastic - it was so close to the town center, the train depot, and all the great restaurants. Plus, the parking was easy and convenient, making it a breeze to come and go.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Durango! It turned out to be a great idea! My kids loved the indoor pool at the rec center, and the beds at the hotel were so comfortable. The front desk staff treated us like family and made sure our stay was smooth. We will definitely be back!

We loved the spacious rooms that comfortably fit our family of 5 and allowed us to move around freely. The rustic atmosphere added to the charm of our stay. The staff, especially Brooke, went out of their way to accommodate our needs and make us feel like part of the family. The location just outside of town provided a peaceful setting and there was a nice area to walk our dog. The price for the area was reasonable and there were conveniently located restaurants nearby.

We felt completely at ease during our stay and had no complaints at all.
