the best place to stay in hanoi. friendly staff, clean rooms, and a familiar atmosphere. kathy organized the perfect trip to sapa and ha long bay, exceeding our expectations. the position is also perfect. if we're in hanoi again, this is where we'll stay!

Uncomfortable top bunks to get up and down.

I got great value for my money at this hostel. The room had big comfortable beds and was cleaned daily. The location was perfect, right in the centre of everything in the old quarter. The staff at City Backpackers were super friendly and helpful, making my trip unforgettable. They even recommended delicious and reasonably priced local restaurants. Plus, the hostel provided free breakfast and free beer during happy hour. It truly felt like home and I met amazing people there. I would definitely stay here again if I ever go back.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, even for bunk beds, and the curtains provided added privacy. The free breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection including delicious scrambled eggs on toast. The staff went above and beyond, giving us the best customer service we've experienced in our seven weeks of travel. They even recovered a lost item for us and were extremely helpful in arranging a tour. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, location, and staff were all top-notch.

I recently stayed at Hanoi City Backpackers Hostel for my trip to Vietnam. I had a great time during my 10-night stay. The location is amazing, close to popular attractions and delicious food spots. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and everything was kept perfectly clean. The staff, especially Lee, Minh, and others, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was tasty, and the free beer happy hour was a nice bonus. The staff even took responsibility for a bus company issue I had and gave me a full refund. I couldn't ask for more.

The best thing about my stay here was the friendly staff. They were always willing to help and made me feel welcome. the location of the hostel was also great, right in the heart of the Old Quarter. It was convenient to explore the city and there were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Another thing I really enjoyed was the free beer in the evenings. It created a fun and social atmosphere where guests could relax and chat with each other.

One thing I disliked about my stay was the lack of early check-in. I arrived in the morning after a long flight and was not allowed to enter my room, even though it was empty.

This hostel is located right in the heart of Hanoi, making it extremely convenient for exploring the city. The staff at City Backpackers were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to organize tours for guests. The hostel has a cozy common area where guests can socialize and meet other travelers. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast, though simple, was sufficient. Plus, the free beer from 6-7pm was a nice bonus!

The bathroom in the dorm room could have been better maintained. the air conditioning was not working properly and the wifi stopped working in the room after a few nights.

The staff at City Backpackers were incredibly personable and helpful, arranging a Halong Bay tour and onward train ticket for me. They even gave me a lift to the train station on their scooter. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The hostel had a great location with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The free beer happy hour between 6 and 7pm was a nice touch.
