So, I booked a stay at Adina expecting a pretty decent time, and there were definitely some highs and lows. First things first, the location is fantastic! I really appreciated having access to a washing machine and dryer in the apartment, especially since we packed light. Oh, and the electric kettle was handy for my morning tea. But, honestly, the flat-screen TV didn’t work, which was super frustrating. I guess I expected more, considering the price. The air conditioning? Well, that left a lot to be desired. It was old, and honestly pretty noisy. Trying to heat up the room took forever, and with the drafts coming through the old window frames, I ended up having to leave it on all night. I did notice some dust and bits of food under the couch—definitely a little gross. As for the heating situation, whenever I cranked it up, I felt like I was in an oven! It’s one of those clunky systems that just doesn’t do the job well. Lots of noise and not a lot of warmth. When it came to the tea and coffee facilities, I found them quite basic. It would’ve been nice to have a few more options rather than the standard fare. The cookware and kitchen utensils seemed a bit worn out too; there was only one functional saucepan. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms was decent, though. I could stream without too many hiccups—at least that was a win! Now, moving onto the bathroom situation, I felt it could definitely use an upgrade. The linens had a few stains, and the towels weren’t super comfy—more scratchy than soft. I ended up feeling a bit shorted on pillows. They couldn’t really spare one for me when I asked and said they'd need to wait until the room was vacated, which was annoying. The pool was shut during my stay. I’d hoped to enjoy that, but it was clearly out of service. I mean, that was one of the reasons I chose this place! The balcony also wasn’t really usable because the air conditioning unit blasted hot air right at us. As for the vibe of the staff, I had some mixed interactions. Some were lovely and helpful, but others felt a tad rude or disinterested, which dampened the whole experience a bit. I found myself waiting quite a while at the front desk a couple of times. I think they could definitely benefit from having more staff around during busy periods. The carpet in the room was stained too, which was disappointing. I was expecting something a bit cleaner and more modern based on the photos, but it felt old and worn in reality. I do feel like the place has potential, but there’s definitely room for improvement in maintaining the facilities. If you’re looking for something super fancy with all the bells and whistles, you might want to look elsewhere, but if you’re just after solid basics in a good location, it’s not the worst choice.

Unfortunately, the experience was let down by quite a few issues. The noise from the McDonald's downstairs was insane, keeping me up all night.

I had a pretty decent experience at this hotel! the location is super convenient, right above a 24-hour McDonald's, and close to restaurants and attractions like the National Gallery and Casino. the rooms were spacious, and we even got an upgrade without extra costs! the laundry facilities were handy, and the staff were friendly enough, though they seemed a bit disengaged at times. it was nice to have that extra living space compared to my previous stays.

A couple of things could use some attention. the heating in one of the bedrooms was out, which was a hassle, especially with a baby.
