The lack of privacy blinds allowed for unexpected views, and the aircon decided to act as a sauna. But hey, at least the greasy stains on the bed head sparked discussions! Not sure if it's the place for a restful night's sleep, but the chandeliers were shining bright!

We had an amazing time at this place! The location is perfect, situated in the heart of the beautiful wine growing region of Hunter Valley. We loved that we were able to easily visit Circa 1876 Restaurant for a unique and charming dining experience. The hotel itself is a stunning historic building with a fountain front entrance and a lovely back garden area with a swimming pool. The surroundings were so peaceful and serene, making it the ideal place to relax and unwind. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, making sure that our every need was taken care of. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the veranda and taking in the stunning views. The housekeeping was top-notch, ensuring that our room was always clean and tidy. We also appreciated the additional services provided by the hotel, such as bicycle hire and tours/ticket assistance. we had a fantastic experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway.

Set in the glorious Hunter Valley, the hotel offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The decor throughout the property has a rustic charm that transports guests to another era. We particularly adored the views from our balcony and the hearty breakfast served at the restaurant.

While the hotel had plenty of charm, the room lacked some basic amenities like room service. The dinner options were also limited with the restaurant closing early.

Beautiful historic building with fountain entrance and back garden pool area. Glassed in sun room as part of the room. Delightful and helpful staff, can't wait to return.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Convent in Hunter Valley. We were amazed by the history of the hotel, especially our room which used to be a nunnery. The building was even moved 600km to its current location! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel restaurant served delicious food. The location was perfect, surrounded by vineyards for wine tasting. We also appreciated the comfortable rooms and the convenience of the golf buggy shuttle. The breakfast was substantial and tasty. We will definitely return!

Lovely location with views of pool, short walk to breakfast. Kangaroos outside window in the mornings. Good sized rooms, bathrooms could be updated. Delicious set breakfasts. Fabulous Christmas lunch at restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff.

My recent stay at The Convent was absolutely delightful. The front desk service was outstanding, with welcoming smiles and thoughtful arrangements. The breakfast spread was delicious, offering a variety of options to choose from. The staff even surprised me with champagne for my birthday. Although there was a minor inconvenience with my key card not working late at night, I managed to enter through the back kitchen door. Despite this, I will definitely be returning to The Convent for another memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel.
