The bed was like a soft cloud with a neat comforter. Excellent front desk staff. Warm, helpful, friendly, and professional. Met friendly left-handed staff. Great assistance from a young lady at the front desk. Malcolm was very helpful during checkout. Lovely view room with a beautiful sunset.

We had an absolutely amazing time at this hotel. It's located in the heart of downtown and we were able to walk everywhere. The attached pub had a unique atmosphere that we loved. The service was spectacular, with staff always making sure our needs were met. We especially enjoyed the welcome drink and happy hour. Our room had great amenities, including ironing facilities, heating, and tea/coffee facilities. The free toiletries were a nice touch and we loved the flat-screen TV and sitting area. The staff always had a friendly smile and wonderful customer service.

The pub and restaurant located on a somewhat busy street presented a unique atmosphere that was both lively and enjoyable. The staff were helpful and attentive, and the basic amenities such as the 2 queen beds and breakfast included with the rate were provided with a good amount of options.

This vintage hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of downtown, just a short walk away from the harbor area, three pubs, and even the opera. The common area features a continental breakfast and a sports bar. Guests can enjoy a comfortable night's sleep in cozy beds, with provided fans to keep cool. The rooms also come with fridges, and one guest found the room to be clean and comfortable.

One guest mentioned a pull-out couch that was uncomfortable and needs replacing.

I recently stayed at Strathcona for a few nights and was thrilled with my experience. The desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my stay. The room had plenty of extra bedding, which made my stay even more comfortable. One thing that really stood out to me was the fantastic variety of breakfast options available, far beyond the usual plain choices. Additionally, the room had pot lights all over the ceiling, providing ample brightness for all activities, including packing early in the morning.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, with many dining and entertainment options all within and around the property. It was the perfect place to spend Christmas, as everything downtown had to offer was within easy walking distance. The communication from the staff leading up to my stay was excellent and they were very helpful upon arrival.

The room I stayed in was a little dirty, with quite a lot of hair in the bathroom. The breakfast provided was a little underwhelming.

Great complementary holiday cookies and hot cocoa in the lobby! Location was prime for visiting Christmas markets and restaurants. Appreciated the free underground parking for our rental car.

The noise from outside kept us up all night. Seemed like there were a lot of rowdy people partying nearby.
