We got great value for our money at Ballena Paraiso in Uvita. The room was spacious and had an incredible view with a hammock chair. The location was perfect for wildlife watching and the staff treated us kindly and even helped us book a whale tour. It was an amazing experience overall.

The location of the hotel is absolutely breathtaking with stunning views of the sea and the whale tail. Just down the hill, there is a fantastic restaurant where you can enjoy delicious meals alongside the same amazing panorama. The rooms are comfortable and convenient, providing everything you need for a cozy stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. the pool offers a refreshing dip while enjoying the breathtaking view.

Some elements of the hotel could use improvement, such as a few minor maintenance issues and better organization in certain areas.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at a hidden gem in the beautiful coastal area of Costa Rica. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views and the stunning infinity pool. The spacious and light-filled cottage provided the perfect retreat for our family. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly and informative staff, particularly Nicholas, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The surrounding nature, with its vibrant flowers, playful cows, and beautiful birds, added an extra touch of magic to our stay. And to top it all off, the restaurant next door served delicious meals with a view. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Although our stay was amazing, there were a couple of minor issues that could be improved upon. The bathroom could have been brighter, and the pillows were a bit too firm for our liking.

Ah, the charm of a ground floor room with noise from upstairs, a temperamental shower, uncomfortable bed, and ill-fitting doors. Quite the adventure!

stayed in uvita before, but ballena paraiso exceeded expectations. amazing sea view from terrace and pool, plus nearby restaurant with same panorama. laundry sink a bonus. hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable. would definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at this place in Costa Rica with a superb view of the ocean and the whale's tail. the property was great, with spacious rooms equipped with a fridge/freezer and a hot shower in the large bathroom. I loved sitting on the porch in the hammock chair, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. the infinity pool was my favorite part, offering a magical spot to watch the sunset over the open ocean. the owners, Vanessa and Nicolas, were extremely helpful and accommodating, providing us with everything we needed. I highly recommend this quiet spot in Uvita, with quick access to the local grocery store and the beach.
