We stayed at The Belmar during our trip to Costa Rica and it was an incredible experience. The staff went above and beyond to help us arrange private tours of the Monteverde Cloud Forest reserve, both during the day and at night. The restaurant staff, including trainees from a French hotel school, made us feel right at home with their excellent service. The food, sourced mostly from the hotel's own vegetable garden, was delicious. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom amenities were a nice touch. The views from the main building were breathtaking, and we can only imagine how even more stunning they would be from higher floors.

We had an amazing stay at Belmar. The rooms were lovely and the cleaner added nice touches. The food was insanely good, fresh, and made with love. The garden to glass cocktail class with Diego was a highlight. The staff organized private tours in the Cloud Forest reserve and the French-speaking wait staff were a nice surprise. The hotel's vegetable garden is visible from the restaurant terrace. The room was comfortable with generous toiletries. The location, staff, and sunsets were all incredible.

Some inconvenience is encountered when having to carry coffee up two flights of stairs.

The farm tour was a bit disappointing, as the guide seemed disinterested and lacked enthusiasm. It would have been great to have more information and engagement during the tour.

I absolutely loved my stay at this 4-star hotel. The location of this place is absolutely stunning with its secluded area and breathtaking views. I was able to relax and unwind in the peaceful pond area, surrounded by beautiful garden furniture. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The room amenities were top-notch, with a sitting area, terrace, and mini-bar for added comfort. I also enjoyed the variety of dining options, including the restaurant and snack bar. The staff's passion for their new offering was evident in the delicious and well-engineered meals. I highly recommend trying the local beers, as they are simply the best.

Although attention to detail is lacking in some areas, I would still recommend this hotel to anyone. The lack of outside space for relaxing may not be ideal for those looking to socialize, but it is perfect for couples or individuals who prefer a more secluded environment.

During our Christmas stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful wooden décor of the rooms, giving it a cozy and rustic feel. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the tour guides who provided us with interesting insights into the local culture and biodiversity. The sustainable agriculture tour was eye-opening, learning about their carbon-neutral initiatives. The guided nature walk was also a highlight, with the knowledgeable guide sharing fascinating facts about the cloud forest and showing us the best bird-watching spots. the massage we booked was exceptional, one of the best I've had.

The limited breakfast menu, where straying from the preset options incurred an additional charge. The food, while tasty, was a bit pricey, but this can be expected in the small town.

Nothing, it is perfect.

The hotel offered a stunning view from the balcony and the antique furniture and accessories gave a unique and cozy feeling to the place. the restaurant had great food options and the breakfast was delicious. the hotel also provided a range of activities and the grounds were beautiful.

The service at the hotel was slow and there seemed to be a hierarchy in how guests were attended to. the beds were uncomfortable and the panoramic glass in the room was not well-designed for the strong winds in the area, causing a lot of noise and making it difficult to sleep.

Our stay at Belmar was an absolute delight. We spent a few nights in this beautiful hotel and were blown away by the cleanliness, luxury, and overall ambiance. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel like valued guests. Even though we opted for the cheapest room, the views were absolutely spectacular. The hotel had so many hidden treasures, from their wine bar by the lake to their own garden and farm where they sourced their food. We also loved exploring the hotel's hiking trail. Free daily yoga sessions were a wonderful bonus. Out of the seven hotels we stayed at during our trip, Belmar was by far our favorite. Highly recommend!
