We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location on a beautiful bay with black sand beaches by the sea was breathtaking. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a stunning outdoor reception area and direct access to water activities. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We can't wait to come back!

Nothing, it is perfect.

The pool and lounge area of the hotel were great, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun. the restaurants on the property served delicious food, with a special mention to the braised short rib with apple jalapeño purée. the beach restaurant was also a hit, offering a tasty guacamole with pistachios and goat cheese. the staff, especially the hostesses Jocelyn and Meyling, were amazing and made us feel welcomed.

One downside was the pathway to the beach, which had thorns and sticks that made it uncomfortable to walk on. Another negative aspect was the slow service at the main restaurant on one night due to a large group.

We loved the pool and the modern design of the hotel. The staff at the bar was friendly and the live music was great. The food was good and the drinks were wonderful, even though they were a bit pricey. The hotel offered transportation all day to various locations in the area. The rooms were amazing and included turn-down service with a different dessert every night. The front desk was super helpful with organizing tours and the aqua sports center was a fantastic bonus. The breakfast was delicious, with options for both buffet and à la carte. The staff was friendly and helpful at all levels of service. The location was peaceful and perfect for rest and relaxation.

We had a wonderful time at El Mangroove! The beautiful outdoor reception area took our breath away. The open-air design throughout the resort created a refreshing atmosphere. The staff treated us like royalty, especially at Matiss lounge where we enjoyed delicious cocktails and lunch. Our family had a blast at the pool, kayaking, and snorkeling. The room was clean, modern, and offered room service. The buffet breakfast with fresh fruit was a highlight. We even spotted Howler monkeys on our last day. I highly recommend this resort for a serene and relaxing stay.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, right on the beach through a little beach forest. The hotel facilities were fantastic, with four pools, a fire pit, and a pool table. The cleanliness of the property was top-notch, especially during these times. The staff were amazing, providing excellent service and helpful suggestions on sights to see.

Nothing at all!

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the beautiful resort with its contemporary architecture. The chilled atmosphere, absence of animators and loud programs, and the amazing 40-meter swimming pool were perfect for our real swimming sessions in the morning or late at night. The calm bay beach, with no waves and plenty of fish, was ideal for swimming. The breakfast was simply amazing.

We felt very welcome and had no complaints whatsoever.

There was nothing I didn't like.

As young people, we loved the variety of activities offered at El Mangroove - from borrowing SUPs and kayaks to exploring the beach, to riding bicycles around the hotel grounds. The spacious and comfortable rooms had a nice minimalist design, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel also had live music on Friday and Saturday nights, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The friendly staff and delicious food at both restaurants were definite highlights. Additionally, we appreciated the option of either a buffet or à la carte breakfast, and the bartenders at the hotel were fantastic and made amazing drinks. The beachfront location and the stunning views were the icing on the cake for us.

The hotel's facilities were fantastic, with a lot of common spaces, four pools, and plenty of beach chairs. The staff was incredibly well trained and friendly, making our stay enjoyable from check-in to check-out. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering true 5-star level comfort with divine beds, pillows, and linens. The location of the hotel was perfect, right on a volcanic dark sand beach and close to Playa de Coco, allowing us to experience the local Costa Rican life.
